Also Andragogy is any form of Adult learning


• Adult learning refers Adult learning as 'the entire range of formal, non-
formal and informal learning. activities which are undertaken by
adults after a break since leaving initial education and. training, and
which results in the acquisition of new knowledge and skills.

CHARACTERISTICS OF ADULT LEARNERS

ATONOMOUS & SELF-DIRECTED
• Adult Learners Prefer to be free to direct themselves. Actively involve
them in the learning process and serve as a facilitator for them.
Because nandun na sila sa tamang edad wherein they have their
capable to make a decision for their own and take responsibility in
every moment of their life na ginagawa nila

• Mas gusto ng Mga Matuto ng Matanda na maging malaya sa
pamamahala sa kanilang sarili. Aktibong kasangkot ang mga ito
sa proseso ng pag-aaral at maglingkod bilang isang facilitator
para sa kanila.
GOAL-ORIENTED
• Many adults have specific goals they are trying to achieve. They prefer
to partake in learning activities that help them reach their goals.
• Because most of the adult learners usually know what goal they want
to attain so kaya yun mas ginagawa nila yung mga bagay that can help
them to rich their goal.
PRACTICAL
• Adults in the workplace prefer practical knowledge and experiences that will
make work easier or provide important skills.
So we are familiar with the term practical so ditto tinutukoy niya that adult
learners are so practical in the different thing wherein dun sila sa mas
madali na kung saan is may magandang outcome at the same time.

RESULTS-ORIENTED
• They have specific expectations for what they will get out of learning
activities and will often drop out of voluntary learning if their
expectations aren’t met.
It says here that adults learners are result oriented na kung saan is they have
their expectation in many different thing such as in learning activities, na
kung saan is yung mga ginagawa nila and if their expectation aren’t met they
will drop out of voluntary learning.
LEARNING BY EXPERIENCE
• Many adults prefer to learn by doing rather than listening to lectures.
Because adult learner are usually basing for their past experienced to
learn that can give them knowledge. Weherein it is also helpful for
them because at the same time they can use it to as a lesson to them.
USE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AS a RESOURCE
• Adults have lived longer, seen and done more, have the tendency to link
their past experiences to anything new and validate new concepts
based on prior learning.
Well it has a connection with learning by experience because adult learners
use their past experiences as a resource that they can apply it to the things
they are doing and to conceptualized a new things that can be better for
them with their prior learning
POTENTIAL PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS
• adult learners may acquire psychomotor skills more slowly than
younger students and have more difficulties reading small fonts and
seeing small images on the computer screen.
When it comes to the potential Physical of the adult learners ditto na
nangyayari yung pagkakaroon ng limitation because of their age like on
what it says here to their psychomotor skills nagging mabagal na siya rather
than with the young student . And specific example of this is they began to
develop the sign of having difficulties in reading small fonts and seeing small
images on the computer screen, because some of their cell and nerves in the
body is hindi na ganun ka functionel well like sa mga bata.
RESPONSIBLE FOR SELF
• Adult learners often take responsibility for their own success or failure
at learning. Because adult learners have rich their age in the stage that
they can handle things at the same time with their success and failure
when it come in their learning.

MULTI-LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Adult learners have a lot to juggle; family, friends, work, and the need for
personal quality time. Kasi madami siyang kailangan na unahin muna because
she or he has a lot of responsibility to do first rather than to study for learning
wherein nagiging mahirap ng unahin pa yun Na dapat iprioritize ang bagay nay
un yun pero dahil madaming mga bagay pasiyang kailangang unahin mas inuuna
ng mga adult learners yung mga responsibility.
