Saturday Night from 7:30-9:30 pm

**FCS SPELLING BEE: Fri, Nov. 19, for grades 4-8 in the library starting at
9:30am with 4th grade. Library will be closed 9:30am-12:30pm.
**6-12th GRADE BASEBALL MEETING: Today, Nov. 18, for students wishing to play baseball & with
at least one of the student’s parents in the lunchroom at 6:00pm.
**ELEMENTARY FALL FESTIVAL: Class will be sponsoring the Elementary Fall Festival on Tues,
Nov. 23, from 1:00-2:30pm. Students may purchase an “unlimited play” hand-stamp for $8 or purchase
tickets at 25¢ each. The hand-stamp will include 2 tickets for the concession stand. All games will be on
ticket. All concession items will be two tickets.
** STUDENT LUNCHES: Students may bring a “sack” lunch to school in the morning if the student doesn’t
want to eat the lunch provided by the FCS cafeteria. Students are not allowed to have lunches brought
to the school from restaurants or sandwich shops.
**College Awareness Seminar: Thurs, Nov. 18, there will be a College Awareness Seminar in
Mrs. Lee’s room, 817, sponsored by College for Every Student. The schedule is as follows:
2nd Period – 12th grade 4th Period – 10th grade
3rd Period – 11th grade 5th Period – 9th grade

2:00-3:00pm- 5 grade will be in the individual elementary classrooms

**STAFF: Mrs. Creek’s Food Production Class is having a Holiday Bake Sale.. If you would like to place

order, please sign up by tomorrow, Nov. 19 – the order form is by the sign-in sheets in the front office.
Pick up will be on Tues, Nov. 23, by 3:00pm.
**FCTA MEETING: Today, Nov. 18, in room, 802 after school. RE: To ratify the Insurance Proposal approved by
the union insurance committee.

**WANTED- ART TEACHER for The Nest, Franklin County School’s after school program.
Hours: 2:30-6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Pay: $16/hr. Must be able to plan & implement art lessons for
grades PreK-8. Drug test & background check required. Complete district employment application, available
on-line at www.franklincountyschoools.org and return application to the School District Office, 85 School Rd,
Suite 1, Eastpoint – Attention: Despina Williams.

**GED CLASSES on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays (except holidays) from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the
Franklin County Learning Center (the old Brown Elementary).
The next GED TEST will be given Nov. 29 & 30, at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm.
