LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 10

At the end of discussion, the students should be able to:

1. Recall the definition of verb by listening to the “Verb Rap Song”;


2. Explain the general rule of Subject-Verb agreement;
3. Construct sentences observing the Subject-Verb agreement; and
4. Voluntarily participate in the classroom activities.

Questions:
1. What idea does the song wanted to tell? Students will listen to the song. Then, act
2. Give an example of a verb. the instructions stated in the song.

A. Activity
Reason out!
Directions: Complete the sentence puzzle given to your
group by finding the other words in the other groups. Once
you completed the sentence shout Found Ya! and post it on
the board.

B. Analysis

1. What is the number of the friend in the quote?  The friend is only one, so it is singular.
How about the friendships?  The friendships are many, so it is plural.
2. If the number of the subject is singular, what  Singular form of the verb
verb will it take?  Plural form of the verb
3. How about if it is plural?  Singular- by adding –s or –es to the last
4. How do we form a verb if its subject is letter of a certain verb
singular? How about if the subject is plural?  Plural- without –s or –es to the last letter
of a certain verb
5. Construct a sentence using the verb that you
 (students will construct sentences)
have written a while ago.

the teacher. Then, write a letter for your parents for all (students will write a letter on

Directions: The students will be grouped into two.


Then the one who will win in Jack En Poy will answer

Directions: Make an essay about your deepest gratitude for your parents and how will you
pay back to the things they’ve done for you. Observe the general rule of Subject-Verb
agreement.
