II. Plot

A large of family with lot of problems and issues gather in the mourn of their
father. Some of the adult has a issue to teach other their has a problems since birth. In
the end they express or share their problem/issue to each other. And they met the first
family of their father but they accept it. They realized that they are not the first family.
They’re family has a past out thingy and drama in they’re life since birth, if there is
someone in their family that is going to past out they’re going to put and let them
smell the “amonia” thingy so that they’ll going to wake up again. However they’re
family also has a fainting problems that all of the son of Juanito has been fainted
when they knew that Juanito has already died and past away.
They believe in many superstitious beliefs some of these superstitious are:
wearing red colored attire when you are going to a funeral is prohibited; rosary should
be cut so that a family member will not be the next one to past away; it is bad luck to
have a bath at the house where dead lies in; it is forbidden to accompany guest leaving
the funeral; putting a chick/chicken on top of the casket means that the dead was
murdered.

IV. Conclusion/Evaluation

In the closing of the movie it show that all incident or all the problems and issues
has a reason why is happening or why we experienced that thing. If early we need to
ask forgiveness cause they said “the repentance is at in the end”. When Juanito is
being buried in the ground then suddenly happened to the last part that all of his son
and daughter fainted in the front of his coffin crying so hard that causes them fainting.
During the interment, Bobet is carried over the casket to and fro in order to
prevent his grandpa from exercising his visitation rights on little kids. Bobet’s protest
that he is not a little kid falls on deaf ears. As he watches the burial, he tells his
grandpa that it’s alright if he visits him because he is not afraid of him. He bids his
“lolo” goodbye.

V. Recommendation

I surely recommend the video because, this movie shows how filipino
superstitious beliefs in the death of someone here on the Philippines. They’re also
showing on how our fellow citizen obeying every superstitious beliefs that they’re
believing into.
This shows how the manner of every filipino when someone who is dead and
surely need to obey the rules or they called “pamahiin” or superstitious beliefs of the
filipinoes. Not only the filipino need to do these but also other religions, country and
many more this surely this can help us.
