Problem Title: “Online Examination System”

Problem statement:
Developing a online examination system, which will allow students to give online exam related to subjects.

Abstract

Online examination system is a web-based examination system where examinations are given online.
either through the internet or intranet using computer system. The main goal of this online examination
system is to effectively evaluate the student thoroughly through a totally automated system that not only
reduce the required time but also obtain fast and accurate results.

Introduction
Online examinations, sometimes referred as e-examinations, are the examinations conducted through the internet
or in an intranet (if within the Organization) for a remote candidate(s). Most of the examinations issue results as the
candidate finish the examination, when there is an answer processing module also included with the system.
They can be used to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly through a fully automated system that not only
saves lot of time but also gives fast results.

Scope of project
1)This can be used in educational institutions or as well as in corporate world.
2)Can be used anywhere anytime as it is web based application.
3)No restriction that examiner has to be present when candidates take the test.
Requirement Analysis
 1. Student information like first name, lastname, rollno, class etc.
 Staff information like name and staff id, class whom they teach.

Front End : Html, CSS.

Back end : php,Mysql.
Merits
A major highlight of using a web based exam software or an online examination system is that it gives a
 high level of transparency as opposed to the traditional method or remote method.
 Security and confidentiality.
Accessibility and Flexibility.

Future scope

1)This can be used in educational institutions or as well as in corporate world.
2)Can be used anywhere anytime as it is web based application.
3)No restriction that examiner has to be present when candidates take the test.

Conclusion
Online Examination System is a web application.The key concept is to minimize
the amount of paper and convert all forms of documentation to digital form.It can
observe that the information required can be obtained with ease and accuracy in
the computerized system.
