ABSTRACT:
The Gyrator provides an easy and safe mobile system for those who struggling with convention
two wheelers and four wheelers. 2.2% of India’s population is differently abled. The project
focuses on the development of an efficient safe system for navigation for disabled people. Such
a system should enable the user to control with minimum effort and should be stable in all
practical situations. A gyrator is neither a motor cycle nor four wheeler. It is a vehicle made up
of an inner frame which is encompassed and supported by two large coaxial aligned wheels.
The inner frame is supported by a common axle has a result is free to oscillate back and forth
relative to outer wheel. Inherent instability has limited its potential has a commercial available
vehicle. But by reducing this oscillation to an optimum valve by incorporating internal braking,
we could make a very stable navigation system. In order to achieve motion, a shift in the center
of gravity of the inner frame is required. Two independent electric motors provide the driving
torque to gear box which drives the large outer wheels .this unique design gives the vehicle a
clear advantage over conventional four wheeled and two wheeled vehicles as it has zero
turning radius.
Introduction:
The mechanical Gyrators distinctive design makes it a novel alternative form of transport. One
of the first recorded designs was by Mr. Otto in1870. The Gyrator allows the driver to sit in a
frame which is rigidly connected to the shaft surrounded by two large wheels. These two
wheels cause the entire system to move when rotated .the independent control over each
wheel allows the Gyrator to rotate on the spot. The Gyrator is comprised of many typical
subsystems. These subsystems must be integrated to provide an energy efficient system and all
mechanical system is to comply with relevant safety expectations .the main sub system of the
mechanical Gyrator include two large outer wheels surrounded with tyre and tube ,a drive
system ,brakes and a method for steering . Large outer wheels are quite large they require high.
One of the most important feature requisite of a stable design is internal braking. The material
used for the shaft should possess good wear resistive properties. The efficiency may be
improved by using electrical drive system. These motors need to be able to produce a
significant amount of torque to be able to rotate the large wheels .The incorporation of 120
degree space positioning seat shifting mechanism and convertible seat cum bed increases the
potential of the mechanical Gyrator among the people. The main objective of the project is to
develop a user friendly and green vehicle with effortless driving. It uses android applications to
recognize the voice which is helpful in movement of the system.

LITERATURE SURVEY:

After conducting an intensive literature review, it was found that wheelchairs with stairclimbing
capacities can be categorized into two types; the battery powered and the manua Although there
are plenty of powered wheelchairs available in the market place, there are limited scholarly
reviews published on manual or battery powered wheelchairs. Instead, patent certificates,
wheelchair descriptions, and operation manuals are available. Indeed, No peer reviewed
literature was found for manual wheelchairs. Some researchers have built scale models After
conducting an intensive literature review, it was found that smart wheelchairs capacities can be
categorized into two types; the battery powered and the manual or full size prototypes of their
designs but little documentation has been published on this type of wheelchairs.

Smart wheelchairs have been researched since the early 1980’s and have been developed on four
continents. Some smart wheelchair operates similarly to autonomous robots :the user specifies a
final destination and destination and supervise as the smart wheelchair plans and execute a path
to the target location.
