Science Fair Idea

Topic- Traditional ideas

We all are familiar with the concept of magnets for a long time. Magnets came into existence in 19 th
century. We have developed very much since then but are we using the great idea of magnets to its
full potential? The answer is simple-No. Magnets are considered as a topic of play. We/I
____________________ bring the idea of the “Electro-magnetic Train” as our/my idea for the

“Inter School Science Fair”. The idea of this train was originated originally in Japan but they failed.
This is our/my version of the train-

Now the white portion in Fig. 1,2,3,4 is the north magnets in respect to which the nature of the
other magnets will be decided. For example-: At the main tracks the magnets nature should be
north as the magnet will repel and hence cause the object to levitate. The Japan Model failed due
to low power and weak infrastructure. That is why we/I used AC Battery in our model and are/am
using balsa, the lightest wood, to build the infrastructure of the model. Now the rest of the figures
represent that design of the tracks

Track design(extracted)(Fig. 5)

The design consists of a dome shape on the top to help the train to levitate. The dome will be
transparent of course and consist of a piece of metal so the magnet on the top of the train gets
attracted to it and therefore it will result in ease to levitate the train due to force from both side.

make its motion smoother.

Respected sir,

This is just a rough sketch of our/my idea which we/I think can help our traditional method of
magnets highlight. Hope you like our/my idea.

Yours Sincerely,
