You may now take the 51Talk TESOL+TEYL Certification Training.

This expanded 51Talk Certification program offers a combined updated TESOL

and a TEYL certificate in an online course in Partnership with Teach
International, an Australian Language Institution.

About the Program
• TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

• TEYL stands for Teaching English to Young Learners

• TESOL and TEYL is an entry-level certificate for teaching English to students

whose first language is not English.

• TESOL and TEYL tackles about the basics of language knowledge, general
teaching methodology, classroom management and assessment.

• All teachers are required to take the certification training.

How does the program work?
• Enrollment in this program is sponsored by 51Talk and offered free to all
teachers through a collaboration with TEACH INTERNATIONAL, a worldwide
leading TESOL and TEYL certification provider.

• The program is done online, through a browser. You will be sent a login name
and password to start the training when all names in your batch have been
processed.

• There are no trainers and no Skype video-calling. It is purely self-study.

• The program is self-paced. You control how fast or slow you go through it.

• Phbees who will complete the program will immediately be tagged as TESOL
and TEYL certified. E-certificates will be sent to your program registered email
upon the prescribed holding period (2 years).

Expectations from Trainees
• You must commit to completing the program on or before March 31, 2019

• The trainee must have steady progress in the certification, otherwise will be
tagged as inactive. Accounts that are inactive for 1 (one) week will be
reassigned to other Phbees.

• Trainees must maintain 65 slots during peak hours per cut-off.

• Plagiarism and dishonesty with your assignments will not be tolerated. If

caught, you will be expelled from the program and blacklisted from
becoming TESOL+TEYL certified with TEACH INTERNATIONAL.

Within 72hrs upon submitting your Acknowledgement forms, Teach International will be sending
in a welcome email containing the following details to qualified Phbees:

Frequently Asked Questions
When will I receive the logins?

• All acknowledgements will receive an email within 72 hours of form submission- either a
decline email from 51Talk Certification or a welcome email with logins from Teach International.
• If no decline email from 51Talk Certifications has been received within 72 hours, it means your
logins are on their way to be sent to you.
• Check your email folders such as Junk Mail or Spam Mail. If no logins are sent to you still,
kindly contact Lesson Support to report the issue.

I cannot enter the TESOL Page. What should I do?

• For any TESOL platform related concerns, you may directly report it to TEACH International via
email: support51@teachinternational.edu.au. They should be able to look into your concern
within 24 hours. Should there be no response from the vendor within the given timeline,
please contact Lesson Support to bridge your concern to the vendor.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I fail the quizzes, can I still retake them?

• Yes, you can retake the quizzes as many times as you want.
• The course only takes into account the highest score across all attempts

Do I need to send any reports for this program?

• This program is purely self-paced. No reports will be required of you.

TESOL Platform is currently down/shows error, what should I do?

• For any TESOL platform related concerns, you may directly report it to TEACH International via
email: support51@teachinternational.edu.au. They should be able to look into your concern
within 24 hours. Should there be no response from the vendor within the given timeline, please
let us know so we can bridge your concern to the vendor.

Frequently Asked Questions
I am already a Master Teacher A and a TESOL certified teacher, can I still take this
program?

• Yes, you can still take the program and stay in your rank, but you are not All Phbees in the
platform are encouraged to take the TESOL + TEYL program, as it’s content is most current in
the language certification industry. Upon finishing the program, you will then be tagged as both
TESOL and TEYL certified.

When can I claim my certificate?

• A digital certificate will be sent to you after 2 years of active teaching and good standing in the
platform from the month of your training completion.

• Graduates can only get a copy of their certificates if they are BK12/JK12 tagged.

• 51Talk Certification serves the right to prescribe additional upskill trainings to all Phbees under
the program.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I cannot finish my training in the time required?

• Please note that all 51Talk independent home-based service providers are required to
finish the course and be TESOL certified as mandated by the Chinese government.
Incomplete certifications by March 31, 2019 may lead to account prohibition.

What do we do after the program?

• Teach International will send a completion email to verify your successful certification no
later than March 31, 2019.

• If there is no completion email sent within 72 hrs upon your completion, please send a
screenshot of your completed course to certification@51talk. com so we can bridge your
concern to Teach International.
