I. Rationale
The K to 12 Basic Education Program and Senior High School require the public
secondary schools to upgrade the development of the knowledge and skills of the
students that will result the realization of their potentials towards the betterment of
the school but for the whole nation as well.
In the far north of the country, Tuguegarao City is a booming business center in
the province as well as in the whole Region 02. National companies are slowly
emerging in the city. The output of the Technology and Livelihood Education
Department in a project that will prepare the students for real life situation in the
field of business and the world of work.
The Division of Tuguegarao City has a good track record of producing highly
skilled students as reflected by our perennial winning in the NFOT-Technolympics
competitions in the regional as well as the national level. The TLE teachers of
Division of Tuguegarao City thought of harnessing theses potentials by providing
them an opportunity to use their skills for productive livelihood activities.
The TLE Kabuhayan center aims to have viable income generating projects; this is
an offshoot of what they learned from different competencies required in given
specialization and assist the students as they begin to responsibly engage in
entrepreneurial activities and endeavours. Through these projects, the students
would be able to showcase not only the knowledge and skills in preparing products
but also their entrepreneurship education and learning, and initiate students into
thought that through this activity we would be able to produce manpower and
products that will propel us to be competitive in the global market.
We in the academe, especially as a subject department mandated to develop the
potential of our people in this aspect of life, believes that through the establishment
of a TLE Kabuhayan Center we will be able to prepare our students to be
economically productive.
II. Objectives
1. To show students the establishment and operation of a small scale enterprise.
2. To provide an avenue for students to apply the entrepreneurial skills.
3. To develop the entrepreneurial skills of students by learning how to market their
products.
4. To encourage students to pursue business after graduation in high school.
5. To instill in the minds of students to possibilities of improving their economic
conditions by developing their entrepreneurial ingenuity.
III. Project Description
The TLE Kabuhayan Center will be situated in a strategic area of the school and
build using recycle material from condemned building and labour will be provided by
teachers and students specializing in civil technology or vacant classroom of the
Schools can be used as display center. The Technology and Livelihood Education
display their best products and services (performance) in the TLE Kabuhayan Center.
The business enterprise has captive market because it is situated in a strategic
area of the school. Students and Teachers will be displayed at the TLE Kabuhayan
Center in the schools. Students and Teachers will be encouraged to patronize the
TLE products because it will directly and indirectly benefit them by giving them
lower price and income from the sales will be turned to projects and funds for the
department.
IV. Marketing Aspects
1. The location of the TLE Kabuhayan Center will be at the secondary schools in the
Division of Tuguegarao City.
2. TLE teachers notify the Department Head/Teacher Manager to display/exhibit
their products for sale at the TLE Kabuhayan Center. The Manager will be in
charge as to the registration of the enterprise and preparation of other
papers/requirements prior to its operation.
3. The Proposed Bungalow type building will be used as display area of TLE
products with comfort room and annexed for greenhouse provided with
sprinklers and seed bank. Seedling of varied kinds and plants for sale will be
placed at the greenhouse.
4. Fixtures will also be included like display racks with glass covers for products.
Freezers and refrigerators will be provided for the storage of perishable products
like fruits, vegetables, smoked fish, etc. A counter, table and chairs for the
Cashiers will also be provided.
VI. Management Aspect
1. It will help Technology and Livelihood Education Department make their IGPs
become more viable that will result to an additional income of the school which
can be used to augment other school needs that will benefit the students.
2. Students are given a percentage out of the profit derived from the products they
prepared as their share/incentive that they can use as their allowance in school.
3. The TLE Kabuhayan Center will be very much responsible in promoting
environmental, clean air act and proper waste disposal.
VIII. Financial Aspect
A. INITIAL CAPITAL:
The amount of seventy thousand pesos (Php70, 000.00) is substantially enough
to put up the proposed project TLE Kabuhayan center.
Based on the projections as depicted by the financial statements, the proposed
project is a kind of lucrative undertaking.
B. SOURCE OF FUNDS
The project is being funded by the school (School Canteen, TLE Club funds,
Stakeholders and other source).

Note: The proposed share of the net income will be 60% for the students, 25% for the
TLE Department and 15% for the school to be used as revolving funds for the maintenance and
future development of the business center.
