INTRODUCTION
Project Context
Over the last few decades, advancements in computer and software technologies
have reached an impressive level. These technologies improve not only very common areas
of our daily life, but also areas of education, health, production industries, and so on. In
recent years, there is a rapid development of technology. One of the notable technologies
which is gaining a fast pace popularity in the global consumer market is the mobile
technology. In the survey report of Gelo Gonzales (2019), there are now 5.11 billion unique
mobile users today, increasing by 100 million in the past year, globally. Mobile phones
hence can be used for a number of such purposes. What makes the information easily
available is mobile applications. Every mobile app has a unique feature which offers its
own set of services.
Learning is a continuous process and the focus has now completely shifted to
eLearning. Due to the mobile phones and the various feature-oriented applications, students
can learn at their pace and take their time at understanding things, as everything is just a
click away. With the emergence of this trending mobile technology, there is a considerable
probability to transplant academic affairs and information from computer to mobile devices
to improve service quality and management efficiency. However, given the rapid pace of
technological change over the last decade, many parents and teachers have found it
challenging to keep up to date with new technologies and fully exploit the exciting
educational opportunities that these new technologies represents.
To develop a software which is the translator language that will meet the demand of
the users.
To have a handy and easy to use mobile application in translating.
To improve the process of learning English to Sinugbuanon and Kamayo language.
To design, develop and implement a voice translation and phrasebook for all the users.
Teachers/School Faculties
o The Teachers/School Faculties teaching this subject will have a better
performance because the amount of work will be decreased.
Student
o The student will be given a fast and better processes in learning and
translating the mother tongue language.
The main objective of the proposed system project entitled “Mother Tongue K-12
Translator Mobile Application” will be the development of a mobile application that will
be an alternative tool in learning the English to Sinugbuanon and Kamayo language for the
elementary students in their K-12 mother tongue subject.
To create a system that will gives the user in easy access of information of the
English to Sinugbuanon and Kamayo language at anytime and anywhere.
Limitation
RELATED LITERATURE
Local
The Kamayo dialect is spoken in the Philippine's Eastern Mindanao Region, specifically
Davao Oriental and Surigao del Sur, Philippines. This application can translate common
conversational phrases from English to Kamayo.
