DECLARATION
Applicants for Student and Student Guardian visas must show they are coming to Australia temporarily for
study as a Genuine Student (GS) and are assessed against the Australian immigration authority’s Genuine
Temporary Entrant (GTE) criteria.

Bond University reserves the right to refuse admission if the University is not satisfied that the applicant
meets the GTE/GS criteria and/or does not have the capacity to study and live in Australia for the duration of
the program even if the offer has been accepted. The University may also impose additional requirements on
applicants who will require Australian student visas to commence study.

This form is to be completed by students who are applying directly for admission to Bond University. It
must be submitted with the program application along with any supporting documentation.

• I understand that if I provide false or fraudulent information to Bond University or to the Australian
immigration authority, this may result in Bond University refusing me admission and the Australian
immigration authority refusing my visa application (including the visa applications of my spouse or
dependents) and imposing an Australian visa application ban for up to 10 years.

I confirm that:
• I have access to funds to cover the total tuition fees, living expenses, OSHC and other costs to study in
Australia for me and any accompanying family;
• I can provide evidence of all funds available to me to the Australian immigration authority and to Bond
University if required;
• I am not relying on part-time work to fund my study in Australia; and,
• I acknowledge that Bond University or the Australian government will not fund my studies if at any
time I am unable to pay the required tuition fees and related expenses for the duration of my stay in
Australia.

If applying for a student visa, I acknowledge that I must abide by all conditions of my student visa while in
Australia. Australian student visa conditions include but are not limited to the following:
• Meet course requirements relating to enrolment, level of study, progress and attendance.
• Maintain OSHC for the duration of the student visa.
• Ensure that address and contact details at Bond University are kept updated.
• Cannot work until program of study has commenced and cannot work more than the immigration
prescribed maximum hours per fortnight.
• No transfer to another institution within 6 months of the principal program enrolment in accordance
with Bond University Student Transfer Policy.
