The respondents believe that industries prefer Chinese workers rather than their own workers
because the industries prefer the quality of work of Chinese people. For them, the Chinese nationals have
the qualities of a good employee and experience that any industries would want, and better employees mean
better profit. For the respondents, they believe that because of the work culture of the Chinese and Filipinos,
Industries would prefer a business minded employee rather than a lazy, low IQ Filipino as stated by some
of the respondents. Another reason are the good reputations, prestige and influence the Chinese people
have; Other reasons the respondents believe are that the industry have the same nationality with the workers,

mentality of Filipinos.

our country?

by allowing China to go to our country looking for work, it solves the dispute/conflict we have between
China. The respondents also stated that it helps developing our economy and our access of technology.
More good quality workers mean profit for businesses. However, by allowing China to go to our country,
the respondents stated that it increases the population in our country, Chinese nationals are being chosen
rather than Filipinos, decreasing the change for Filipinos to be hired, and though we do gain profit from
their success, they gain more from the profit than us. Furthermore, they stated that because of the number
of Chinese nationals we have in our country, China itself has proclaimed that our country is now a province
of China, stating that they have the higher authority.

Most of the respondents stated that the suitable solution for the problem was to give more priority to
our locals than the foreigners when it comes to employment. If the government would lessen or control
the presence of chinese workers here in the Philippines, Filipinos could be given an oppurtunity to have a
job. Some respondents also stated that Filipinos should have a self discipline and just continue to compete
for education ranks and develop our technology such as agriculture technologies which the Philippines
are best at.
8. Do you still agree that these Chinese nationals shall continue to stay in our country? Why or why not?

For the respondents, there are more who disagreed to let the Chinese stay in the country because they
believed that we have a high unemployed rate, and it would just make it worse for them to stay here.
Also, there’s a chance to have a big problem like overpopulation and the issue between Philippines and
China. There will be a time that they’re now the one who will control and use their power to manipulate
our country. However, some respondents agreed to let Chinese stay here because they believed that it
will improve the Philippines economy and it will gain more profits in terms of taxes. Moreover, Filipinos
will realize that if we didn't do anything Chinese nationals will soon conquer our country. For them,
Chinese people are also finding ways to earn money for going to another country.
