I Can Essay
Do you have a place that makes you feel content? If so, is it at a beach, or an amusement
park, or if you are a fifty-year-old dad, is it the ninth hole at the local golf course? These are
some places people go to clear their minds from all the struggles they have faced in the days, or
the months, or the years before. For me, I have multiple happy places. Some places where I feel
content are Aruba, Pittsburgh, and Toronto. However, the place makes me the happiest is known
as the place “where dreams come true.” That place is Walt Disney World.
Walt Disney World lets me feel like a kid when I am a sixteen-year-old. It makes all my
worries go away and, most importantly, it is a blast. I went to Walt Disney World over this past
summer with my family, which makes it amazing because I get to cherish every moment with
them. Each park at Walt Disney World brings out a different kind of wonderment. Whether it’s
Epcot or Magic Kingdom, I just have this feeling inside me that makes me want to jump up and
I can touch the stars when I’m at Magic Kingdom on Space Mountain. The park brings
out a different kind of me. I get to interact with all the popular characters that I watched when I
was a toddler. It makes me feel like a little kid again. When I go to Animal Kingdom, I’m filled
with the joy of seeing all my favorite Disney characters that take on animal form, like Simba

from the Lion King and Doug from Up. At Hollywood Studies, it makes me feel like I’m an
actual actor, or I’m on set of an actual film. When I walk through Toy Story Land, I feel like I’m
one of Andy’s toys. Lastly, when I walk around the countries of Epcot I’m amazed by the culture
and that these countries have played a part in Disney movies. Altogether, the parks at Walt
Disney World bring out one common feeling and that is the feeling of security. That feeling
makes me feel like nothing can go wrong, even with all the hate in the world today.
The reason why Walt Disney World is meaningful to me is because of my family. I first
went to Disney World when I was two, so I don’t remember much about the trip. However, I
went again in the fourth grade and I loved it. It was the perfect age to go to Disney World. I was
the correct height for the rides and the characters were in my life daily. It didn’t strike me until
the night before we left that spring as to why it was special. It was special because of three
people, my sister, my mom, and my dad. My family made the trip special. I got to experience
amazing opportunities with the people I love deeply. When we went again, this summer I made
sure that I was with my family for every single moment. Therefore, I was able to cherish every
A place where I feel content is Walt Disney World. Sure, I feel happiness in Pittsburgh,
Aruba, and Toronto, but Walt Disney World brings out a different kind of happiness. The
experiences that I took from Disney World is unbeatable. I was able to be a child with childhood
characters. It did bring out the kid in me. Disney World is meaningful to me because I get to
spend every second of it with family and that is impossible to beat. Those are the types of
moments I will cherish forever and that is why Walt Disney World is a place that makes me feel
content.
