II. Project Synopsis Details

Title of the project Motivation Analysis of employees in Toyota Corporation Ltd

Introduction and Objectives of the study Introduction: Motivation is an important tool in the hands of the manager for inspiring the work force and making them to do work
with enthusiasm and willingness . The role of Motivation is to develop and intensify the desire in every member of organization to
work e ectively and e ciently in his position. The main aim of this study is to nd out the employee motivation in Toyota Motor
Corporation Ltd. It is the world’s largest automaker by volume. The company’s name originated from the family name of its
founder, Kiichiro Toyoda. In 2015, Toyota ranked 11th on Forbes’s list of the world’s largest companies. OBJECTIVE OF STUDY:
Increase motivation level of employees. The e ectiveness of the techniques adopted by the company in employee motivation.
Study about the bene ts and facilities provided to the employees.

Problem Statement (including Literature Review) Engineers solve problems by creating new products, systems, or environments. Before creating something, it is very important to
de ne the problem. Otherwise, you might build something only to nd that it does not meet the original goal! The answers to
these three questions are the what, who, and why of your problem. Your problem statement should incorporate the answers as
follows. In design terms, who, what, and why can be de ned as: Who = user, what = need, Why = insight. The problem statement
for any good engineering design project should be able to follow the format shown. Your problem statement should always look
like this: need(s) because. Making something better, faster, or cheaper should be part of your statement either in the "what"
portion and the "why" portion. For example, if you are improving a car radio, your problem statement might be People need
cheaper and better-performing car radios, because current radios are expensive and poor at picking up weak radio signals.
Problem statements among workers. Your employee gets into a dispute with a co-worker, Lacks attention to detail in his work,
excessive unscheduled absences from work, poor time management skills, Uses company equipment or facilities without proper
authority, Neglects to communicate to management what he is doing, Cannot accept constructive criticism, Shows a lack of respect
when speaking to his supervisor, Is going out on a leave of absence, Is constantly late for meetings, Always has an excuse for not
getting things done, Shares con dential or proprietary information, Has an unwillingness to confront problems head-on, Is
beginning or modifying a exible work arrangement, Telecommutes but never seems to be reachable when needed. The problem
that you select for your engineering design project is the cornerstone of your work. Your research and design work will all revolve
around nding a solution to the problem you describe. There should be at least three sources of written information on the
subject, as well as similar products to analyze. You want to be able to build on the experience of others. The problem is speci c
enough to allow you to design a solution. For an engineering project, it is important to think ahead to avoid di culties and save
you lots of unhappiness later. It is very rare for everything to work correctly the rst time.

Methodology and References RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: The procedures by which researchers go about their work of describing, explaining and predicting
phenomena are called methodology. Methods comprise the procedures used for generating, collecting and evaluating data. The
researcher methodology for the present study has been adopted to re ect these realities and help reach the logical in an objective
and scienti c manner. METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION: The data collected was analyzed by employing the following statistical
Primary data is the information collected for the rst time. In this project it was obtained by mean of questionnaires. Secondary
data needed for conducting research work were collected from company websites, library and search engines. In this study the
primary data was collected by survey technique. REFERENCES: • Understand and managing organizational behavior. • Understand
