The City of Seattle has extended the


permit for Camp Second Chance
through March 2020, allowing the
program to continue sheltering
vulnerable people through the winter
months.
This community meeting will offer an
opportunity for City officials to review
options for the village.

About the Village


¨ Up to 48 units for people living ¨ Common kitchen & onsite shower trailer
unsheltered ¨ On-site services, including housing
¨ 24-hour security, with restricted access search support and medical resources
Camp Second Chance Village Figures/Facts

• The village is managed by professional staff in partnership with the residents


of the village through a democratic self-governance structure. In
addition, one case manager is on site daily to support the residents as they
transition to permanent housing.

• During the first half of 2019, representing data collected between January 1
– June 30, 44 percent of households exiting Camp Second Chance entered
permanent housing, making it a high performing tiny house village
program.

• The Camp Second Chance CAC (Community Advisory Council) meets on the
first Sunday of the month, 2-4 p.m. at the Arrowhead Gardens Community
Room to review operations and performance and help connect village
residents with the surrounding community. These meetings are open to the
public.
