CAUTION
Turn the power OFF before disassembling the unit. (Display and main breaker)

1. Turn ANT Motor SW (A) off.

(A)

2. Loosen 4 Bolts (A) from the Stern side and remove Cover (B).
Note: Never cut or kink the Scanner Packing (C).

3. Disconnect Cable (A) which is connected to the Performance Monitor.

4. Disconnect High Voltage (500V) Cable (A).

5. Disconnect the cables.

6. Disconnect Coaxial Cable connector (A).

7. Disconnect Cable (A) from the terminal board.

8. Disconnect Ground Terminal (A).

9. Remove 2 bolts (A) from the Transceiver Unit.

10. Take the Transceiver Unit out from the Scanner Unit.

11. Carry the Transceiver Unit to the wheelhouse.

12. Disconnect a cable (A) of the Fan Motor.

13. Take out Protection Cover (A) by removing 6 screws (B).

14. Disconnect the cable of the Magnetron with a soldering iron.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Use a 40W soldering iron. Lower wattage irons may cause poor soldering.

15. Take a Magnetron out by removing 4 screws.

16. As shown in the photo below, cut and strip cables of a new Magnetron.

17. Mount the new Magnetron and fasten 4 screws to fix it.

18. Connect cables of a Magnetron by a soldering iron.

Green

Yellow

0.5 mm to 1 mm
Lead CAUTION
The cables must not touch the chassis.
If the cables touch the chassis, the current
leaked from the cables will cause serious
damage to the transmission circuit.
Terminal
After inserting the lead into the hole
of the terminal, carry out the wiring.

19. Assemble the unit in the reverse procedure shown above.


Note: Never cut or kink Rubber Packing (A).

20. Turn the power ON again. (Display, main breaker and ANT Motor SW)

21. Reset the TX time.
A) Turn ON the MAIN SW of the Processor unit and the circuit breaker for the
power supply unit that must be operated.
B) When the ST-BY display appears for 3 minutes after the power is turned ON,
wait for approximately 30 minutes in that state.
C) Transmit on the 48 NM range after 30 minutes.
D) Switch between TX and ST-BY about 10 times.
E) Transmit on the 48 NM range for about 30 minutes.
F) Execute “TUNE INITIALIZE” in [Menu] -> “1. ECHO” -> “3 TUNE INITIALIZE”.

G) Press the [Menu] key 5 times while holding down the [1: HL OFF] key. (To call up
the INITIALIZE menu)
Reset the TX TIME to “0” in [Menu] -> 0 [INITIALIZE] -> 4 [Installation] -> “9 TX
TIME”.
Note: Never change the “ON TIME”.
