STANDARD LESSON PLAN FORMAT

I. Describe the Class : This class will consist of 20 students including 1 gifted
and LE student in the 1st grade class of elementary school. My class consists
of fun learning environment where kids can have positive results towards their
learning path.

II. Subject/Skill; We will practice to recognize, match and count worth of


money: bills and coins

III. Objective(s)Students will learn to arrange and identify the worth of Bills and
coins with physical categorizing and operating money in class 85% of
accuracy.

IV. Procedures
● Students will have an overview of today’s activity about money, we will
discuss the importance of it and the use of it
● We will discuss and recognize the use of their number skills we learned
with last weeks lesson when we practiced adding and subtracting.
● I will start passing out $1,$5 and $10 bills to each of my students and i
will give them 5 minutes for them to look and analyze the bill and after we
will go over what they think the worth is or if anybody is already familiar
with bills.
● we will repeat the same process but using coins i will be passing out all
coins to them and I will let them look at the coins and after we will go
over the worth of each coin to master this lesson as a basic skill.
● After they will go back to analyzing their bills and coins and practice
identifying the worth of money. and they will independently write down
the worth of every bill and coin on a sheet of paper.
V. Materials: money bills and coins, paper and pencils

VI. Grouping Structures: this will take place in a classroom and will be a more of
a independent lesson for the students and after I will make sure each and
everyone of them has the skill.

VII. Modifications : for one of my students with dyscalculia, I made several steps
towards the activity to accommodate everybody to have fun and practice
multiple times that way my other students have fun and wont mind going over
it again and my student with math disability can also learn and master this
skill. this includes also for my gifted student, I will have him work on
multiplying bills worth and coins so he doesn't get too much ahead of himself.

VIII. Assessment
● I will close up the activity by them writing down the worth of each bill
and coin and from there identify they have mastered the topic of money.
● As they walk out of class for their lunch time I will each ask them to
identify the worth of a random bill or coin i will show to them and also see
from there who did and who did not quite master the concept.
