Assignment Specifications
This assignment contributes 50% of the total assessment marks for this module. Students
are required to create an original and credible business plan (of about 2500 words). The
business plan should be developed based on a firm understanding of the various business
concepts and key aspects of management of a business entity with thorough application
of the knowledge gained from the topics learnt.

Assessment Method
The following assessment scheme will be adopted in order to evaluate the elements
above:
- Structure (15%)
This refers to the overall structure and organization of the proposal points within the
documentation. Do the argument and proposal points flow from one point to the other?
Does the whole documentation fit the structure of a proposal? Text should be edited in a
consistent style.This includes the formatting and style of the writer.

Additional Notes
• You are free to select any nature of business that interests you (eg: computers,
music, sports, cosmetics, gifts, event etc)
• You are advised to conceptualize your business plan thoroughly before putting it
down on paper
• You are encouraged to use proper headings to differentiate each point in your
plan.
• Students are advised to confirm draft points and information with the module
tutor half way into the assignment period.
• Students may only work as a group to discuss on format and application.
However, the submission of the report and work contents should be individually
done. Similar points, analysis and critique will be investigated and may be
penalised. You may not copy another student’s work in any way.
Marking Criteria
• Students should include the Coursework Submission and Feedback Form with
their submission. The lecturer will give the CSFF before the submission dates.
• Plagiarism is NOT acceptable Representation of another person's work as your
own, without acknowledgement of the source, for the purpose of satisfying formal
assessment requirements is considered plagiarism. The possible consequences of
plagiarism include:
• You can avoid plagiarism by using correct referencing, attribution, and proper
research technique submission.
• All submissions must be made before the stipulated time. If the work is submitted
after this time it will be given 0 (zero).
• Wikipedia.com is not a valid nor reliable source for reference and will not be
accepted in the assignment.
• Assignments that significantly exceeds the word count will be penalised
(i.e. every additional 200 words will be penalised 2%)
• Supporting appendices,if any,should not exceed more than 4 pages.
