Firmware/Software Update Instructions

1. Connect to the LOI or Ethernet port of the ROC using ROCLINK800
2. Collect and save all data and configuration files
3. Select User Program Administrator from the Utilities menu
4. Follow the instructions in the online/user manual to load the user programs

Note: The 2.00 and greater versions of the user programs have the associated displays integrated into the distributable (.tar)
files. If you no longer are going to interface with user programs older than 2.00, you may remove the display folders from your
PC (this will remove the DL8000 Config item from the menu tree). If you will be interfacing with both pre-2.00 and above,
please note that the new displays should be accessed by going to User Program -> <user program name> -> then the display
(e.g. User Program -> Program #5, Batching -> Display #11, Preset Setup). For pre-2.00 programs continue to access the
displays through the DL8000 Config selection on the tree (e.g. DL8000 Config -> Batching -> Preset Setup PT63).

DISPLAY REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Go to C:\Program Files\ROCLINK800\Displays\
2. Delete the following folders:
 Liquid Calcs
 TransactionHistory
 Printer

Version 2.30 (March-2012)

 Display change to remove an option that was not implemented (grayed out)
 Add support for Ethanol fluid type. Two different calculations have been implemented, OIML R22, and ABNT NBR
5992. There is an Ethanol Table option to decide between these two. Both of these two calculate the base density
from the temperature and ethanol-to-water mass fraction. They do not support a densitometer or user entered base
density. These standards provide temperature correction only, no pressure correction (CPL = 1.0).
 Add warning to user when a table is out of bounds (Includes temperature, density, etc. out of range for the table in
use)
 ‘Days to retention history’ is allowed to change only if the legal record is history
 Change to prevent a person from getting locked out of history (if history configuration was changed while the unit was
locked, the user would have to unlock the unit before loading was allowed)
 Improved delivery method on vapor return mass loading
 Reverse and net forward mass added to history options (for vapor return mass loading)
 Improve notification when a user requests too many transaction history records
 Parameter name change (61,0,46) from ‘weight’ to ‘mass’
 Added OIML printer errors for more information for the user
 Improved the printer application to include a default format and remove the out of the box alarm to configure (not all
users want to use the printer application)
 Add an option to remove the hidden txt on the print out; this will still include whether or not the unit is in configuration
mode and the option is weights and measures protected.
 Additive alarms are going only to the alarm log now, not the event log as well
 Made the additive calibration more robust to protect against a communication failure.
 Implemented a 'wizard' for product calibration
 Improve comm port assignments to not overwrite LCD
 Allow vapor recovery to be used with sequential type loading only (mass loading)
 Improve pump stop so the user has the option to shut pump down before flow rate is 0. Some users want to keep the
pump on to generate pressure in the line where others have weaker control valves that can’t overpower the pumps.
This has been added as an option.
 Improved usability of some alarm messages
 Implemented updated Portuguese messages
 Cleaned up event logs for easier readability
 Various desktop display changes
 Display additive error messages on the display
 If mass loading, and there are no Net Volumes on the display, then remove the ‘correct to XX deg’ line.
 Improved appearance of alarm clearing from keypad display
 Implement configuration from the keypad (only when the unit is not weights and measures locked)
 Corrected a keypad glitch that deleted a part of the loading screen when the start button was pressed, before loading
started (cosmetic defect only).
