All About The System Not The Price In LCCT Canteen

The eating facility in La Consolacion College - Tanauan is something that

students must be proud of. The canteen is located at the heart or center of

school. It is where students run to when they feel need to fill up their stomach. It

can be said that a school canteen is one of the most important facility in every

school. Who wants to study with an empty stomach anyway?

In terms of canteen ambiance, LCCT is definitely not on the bottom of the

list. Every first-timer will be fascinated by how the tables and chairs are decently

organized. Unlike ordinary canteens, the table and chairs there are attached to

the floor. This is an innovative way on getting rid of the problem where a

canteen becomes chaotic after every recess. In addition to the organized

arragement of tables and chairs, the canteen is also very well-ventilated. You

will see no closed walls but rather open windows on three sides. It will make you

say hello to the fresh air and warm sunlight.

LCCT canteen, without a doubt, really has something to boast when it

comes to its environment. However, some students have complaints regarding

the cost of each servings of food, with one kind of dish with a single cup of rice,

which cost Php 50.00.A single serving is enough to fill the stomachs of those who

don't have much appetite but to those who usually eat a lot, they might need

extra rice. Having mentioned rice, you can have it hot if you're an early bird but
if not, you can still have it a little bit warm. Apart from rice-paired foods, which

are usually eaten during lunch, the canteen also offers different snacks that can

be eaten during recess time only. There are chips, biscuits, breads and

sandwiches, siomai, nachos and drinks too!

Regarding the quality of foods, it is safe to say that they are catering-

worthy. There are at least 4 varieties of dishes everyday. There are sisig, sinigang,

adobo, tinola, and many dishes you know of. Take note that there are not just

meats but also at least one dish of vegetables too such as pinakbet and

chopseuy. They also offer fruits such as bananas so you can be all healthy!

Above all, the LCCT canteen deserved to be recognized for being

systematic. Before being able to buy your food, you must first buy tokens. This

saves the servers of food from the hustle of giving back change. It is a good

thing because it saves time. Upon getting your plate of food, everything that

comes after is self-service. You will get your own spoon and fork and the best

part is the rule "clean as you go". After eating, students are required to put the

spoon and fork, the plate, and their leftovers to their assigned plastic storage

boxes. This kind of system builds the students to become disciplined and

responsible and be inclined to being organized.

The only thing that LCCT canteen needs to work on is the price of their

foods. They need to adjust the price suited to all students' afford but of course
still considering the capital. Still, LCCT apparently is a private school so for some

people, the costly price is understandable.

In general, LCCT canteen is a great eating ground for students who want

to take a break from their stressful works in school so I will give it 4 out of 5 stars. If

you think the prices are not reasonable enough, the school doesn’t restrict the

students to pack their own lunch.
