Performance Task Narrative

As reported by the Secretary of the Department of Health (DOH), there is an alarming increase
in the number of Filipinos suffering from skin cancer. As part of Barangay Health Center Information
Council, you are asked to prepare an innovative and interesting visual presentation on how to protect
oneself from the harmful effects of EM radiation.
Such presentation can be a source of relevant and substantial information founded on scientific medical
researches about the different EM waves, their uses in everyday life, as well as their detrimental effects to
one’s health. Possible outputs are science story book or e-book, science magazine, science flipbook, or a
Science film. It will be evaluated based on the accuracy, relevance to society, scientific evidence, creativity,
audience impact, promptness in submission, relevance to society, and participation.
