Oracle EBS R12 iRecruitment
iRecruitment is a web-based recruitment solution that enables your enterprise to manage all
recruitment activities using a single self-service interface and provides an easy-to-use interface
for job seekers. iRecruitment provides managers and recruiters the ability to manage every phase
of finding, recruiting, and hiring employees.

iRecruitment includes a separate homepage for each group of iRecruitment users: site visitors,
registered users, managers, recruiters, and agency users. The homepages outline the iRecruitment
functions available for each user, and provide direct access to these functions.

Using iRecruitment, you can create vacancies. You can provide vacancy details such as the job
description, skills, and details of the recruiting team.

Upon completion of this lesson, you will able to:

Creating a Vacancy
When you create a vacancy in iRecruitment, you specify relevant vacancy details, including the
skills and qualifications required, and create a job posting for candidates. You can nominate the
recruiting team that will work with the vacancy, allocate team members, and specify different
levels of access to the vacancy.

In this topic, you will create a vacancy.


Procedure

Step Action
1. Begin by navigating to the Home page.

Click the iRecruitment Manager link.

2. Click the iRecruitment Home link.

3. Use the Home page to manage vacancies, offers, search for vacancies and
candidates.

5. Use the Create Vacancy: Enter Primary Details page to enter details such as
vacancy name, organization, number of vacancy openings, start and end dates of the
vacancy, and compensation details.
6. If you have access to more than one business group, then you must select the
appropriate business group. This ensures that any rules or localizations that are set
for that
business group are adhered to.

Click in the Business Group field.

Approving a Vacancy
When you submit a vacancy for approval, iRecruitment sends notifications to approvers.
Approvers can view notifications on their home page and view vacancy details. When a vacancy
is approved, the person submitting the transaction receives an approval notification. In
iRecruitment, applicants can apply only to approved vacancies.

In this topic, you will approve a vacancy.

• Reject, then the application sends a rejection notification to the person who has
submitted the vacancy for approval.
• Reject for Correction, then the application sends a notification about the need for
correction to the person who has submitted the vacancy.
• Request for Information, then this notification indicates that the person who
submitted the vacancy needs to provide additional information about the vacancy
details.

page.

Processing a Candidate
In iRecruitment, managers or recruiters can search for candidates. When you search for
candidates for a vacancy, iRecruitment compares the skills required for the vacancy with the
candidates’ skills and returns a list of candidates showing their skillsmatch percentage. You can
use this information along with other search results to shortlist candidates for vacancies. You can
send job invites to candidates or refer candidates to other managers.

In this topic, you will process a candidate.

match the vacancy requirements. When you search for candidates for a vacancy,
iRecruitment compares the skills required for the vacancy with the candidates’ skills
and returns a list of candidates showing their skillsmatch percentage. You can use
this information along with other search results to shortlist candidates for vacancies.
You can send job invites to candidates.
13. Click the Select option.

14. You can select any of the following options:


• Consider: Decide whether to encourage a candidate to apply, or consider them for
a
future job opening. This information is just for your reference. Unless you select
Pursue or Reject, iRecruitment takes no further action on the candidate. Consider
does not deliver any notification to the person. The application updates the
consideration status
column for the candidate.
• Pursue: Invite a candidate to apply for a job. When you select this option,
iRecruitment
sends a notification to the candidate inviting them to apply for the vacancy.
iRecruitment database maintains a record of the action.
• Reject: Indicate that you do not find a candidate suitable for a vacancy.
iRecruitment excludes rejected people from future searches for a particular vacancy
but not for all
vacancies.
• Refer: Suggest a candidate to other managers or recruiters, if you find a candidate
suitable for other vacancies.
15. Click the Pursue button.

16. Click the Submit button.


17. You have completed the Processing a Candidate procedure.

Creating an Offer
A job offer is a proposal from your enterprise to an applicant that defines the applicant's job title,
terms, and conditions of employment including salary and benefits. The process of extending a
job offer to an applicant starts with identifying a successful applicant. The offer process includes
tasks such as initiating offers for applicants, completing offer details, reviewing offers, and
sending offers to applicants.

In this topic, you will create an offer.

Click the iRecruitment Manager link.

2. Click the iRecruitment Home link.

3. Use the Home page to manage vacancies, offers, search for vacancies, and
candidates. You can view notifications.

5. Use the Create Offer: Select Application page to select an application and initiate
the offer process. The process of extending a job offer starts with identifying an
applicant.

9. The search return displays a list of applicants for the vacancy.

Based on the offer setup, the assignment details of the vacancy, such as job, position,
and location may appear by default. For a new offer the status is Unapproved, by

benefits. If the applicant is eligible for these benefits, these plans appear on the
Compensation page. You can then pick the appropriate options.

Approving an Offer
Depending on the approval rules set in your company, iRecruitment routes an offer through the
approval process. iRecruitment uses a supervisor based hierarchy for approvals. When you submit
an offer for approval, iRecruitment sends notifications to approvers. Approvers can view
notifications on their home page and view offer details. When an offer is approved, the person
submitting the transaction receives an approval notification.

In this topic, you will approve an offer.

6. Approve: If you approve an action, the application stores the changes in the
database. The person submitting the transaction gets an approval notification. If
there are multiple levels of supervisory approvals, then iRecruitment routes the
approval to the next person in the hierarchy.

Reject: If you are not happy with the details or the changes made, then you can
reject the transaction. This ends the approval process. iRecruitment sends a rejection
notification to the person who submitted the transaction.
7. Reassign: You can reassign this notification for approval to another approver.

Request Information: If you want any additional information, then you can select
this option.
8. Click the vertical scrollbar.
9. Click the Approve button.

10. Once you approve the offer, the initiator of the offer can view the offer approval
notification on their home page.

Hiring an Applicant Using SSHR


After an applicant accepts an offer, you can hire the applicant using the Oracle SSHR Hire
Applicant page. You enter information about applicants and hire people for whom you already
have applicant assignments with a status of Accepted.

In this topic, you hire an applicant using Oracle SSHR.

Hiring an Applicant Using the People Management Template


Once an applicant accepts a job offer, you can hire the applicant. Oracle HRMS provides the Hire
Applicants template that supports effective and easy applicant deployment. Using the Hire
Applicants, template you can complete the tasks from applicant entry to applicant hire.
The template enables you to:
• Enter personal and professional details of applicants.
• Hire successful applicants and record details such as new terms and conditions and payroll
information for the new hire.

In this topic, you will hire an applicant using the Hire Applicants People Management template.
