The Assignment conducted mainly to achieve course learning outcome (CLO) on objective number two
(2) and three (3) : As student can refer to module guide given.
Student for Real Estate Management and Development (land eco) need to conduct assessment by not
rely only from internet and books but gather a data from interview and primary data produce by
stakeholder incharge. The objective of this assessment to enhance student on preparedness of their
dissertation as well. There will having three title for theoretical assessment and other 2 will be onsite
assessment.
1. Urban Location theory & Land Use Pattern
a. Example of location theory ; Von Thunen, Alonso, Central Place Theory, Nuclei,
Export base
b. Type of land use pattern
c. Factor that affecting land use pattern
d. Two details Case Study of model.
Other two group will have extensive research that related with real estate economics: The
possible data collection should be gather through Local Authority, NAPIC, developers/real
estate agent AND PUBLIC. The objective of this on-site assignment is to give student exposure
on current welfare economics and expose in better dissertation on next semester.
5. Housing supply vs Housing demand
a. Problem exist under housing demand and supply
b. Element to considered under housing supply and housing demand
c. Measurement of housing disparities
d. Case study ; Wangsa Maju and Setiawangsa (questionnaire distribution)
i. Data of housing supply in this areas (detail classification) – LA and NAPIC
data/unsold transaction/status of homeownership for this area only
ii. Demographic profiles in this areas (DOS)
iii. Questionnaire will be prepare by the lecturer and should be distribute by the
student to developers/public. (30exp) (50-100public)
iv. Boundary for this areas
v. Project supply in this areas (before,during and after) (planning office)
