Program Schedule

The IALF offers a two-week intensive course in Bahasa The program runs from 8.00 - 15.00, Monday to Friday for
Indonesia which is suitable for absolute beginners as well as two weeks, a total of sixty hours.

The course begins with topics such as introduc�ons and

The morning session is four hours and the a�ernoon session • 9 - 20 September
is two hours. There is an emphasis on ac�ve par�cipa�on • 7 - 18 October
by the students. Ac�vi�es o�en include extended prac�ce in • 4 - 15 November
pairs or small groups. • 9 - 20 December

Language work is consolidated through an op�onal visit to


a market, where students have the opportunity to use Fees
classroom language in an authen�c context.

Fees are Rp 6,400,000 and include tui�on, materials,


Teachers refreshments and a field trip.

Instructors are experienced na�ve-speaker teachers of


Indonesian as a Foreign Language. All hold a university degree
and teaching qualifica�on, and understand the types of
difficul�es experienced by adult second-language learners.
Though they will teach primarily through the medium of
Indonesian, all are fluent speakers of English.
