Comments (address strengths, greatest areas of growth, areas still needing attention):

Greatest areas for growth---

#6/9—I have not seen any differentiation in teaching/learning approaches. All lessons have
been structured as whole group mini-lessons and group assessment. I have suggested that she
plan and prepare for small groups. I have given her the topics and even some ideas for
activities to help differentiate students learning but have not seen as so far.

I hope to some creativity in lessons during her full week of teaching since most of the lessons
she has taught have either been given to her through Eureka or our school science curriculum.
I have given her examples of KAGAN cooperative learning strategies where students are able
to more and interact with other students during the lesson.

#13—I have only seen 1 typed lesson plan for math and science. All others have been
highlighted Eureka lessons or just mimicking the lesson as I did it that morning.

Strengths—

#7/12—Mary Jane uses feedback from lessons to help improve instruction. She is flexible with
lessons and adapts as necessary for best student learning. She is open to suggestions. I do
however feel she is still building confidence in administering lessons.

#4—Mary Jane has gotten to know each student—their strengths and weakness. I would like
to see her use this knowledge to help with instruction in small groups and individual
conferencing.
