INTRODUCTION

The Bible is the best-selling book in history. It is a set of religious books that transmit
the word of God, and that serve as the basis of Jewish and Christian religions. One of the
events that appear in this book is a version of the creation of the world, how God built
the world in a few days.

Let me tell you the creation story. This story is found in the first book of the Bible. This
book is called "Genesis. The word "Genesis" means "birth" or "origin. The first book of
the Bible tells us about the principle or origin of everything. It gives you the history of
the first members of your family. In this book are the first promises that give you the
opportunity to live eternally.
GOD'S CREATION

The first verse of the Bible describes the creation of the universe in very simple terms.
It says, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. No book of science or
philosophy has ever been able to improve this simple statement of reality.

The Bible describes the process of creation in terms of "days.

 ON THE FIRST DAY GOD CREATED LIGHT.

In the beginning God created Heaven and earth. And the earth had no form. It was
empty, covered with darkness and water. Then the Spirit of God moved over the waters
and God said, "Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw that the light was
good: and God took away the light from the darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night: and the evening was the
first day, and the morning was the first day.
 ON THE SECOND DAY GOD CREATED THE "EXPANSION" OR "ATMOSPHERE"
OF THE EARTH.

And God said, "Let there be an expanse of air in the midst of the waters, and let there be
a separation between the lower and the upper waters.

And God called the expanse "Heavens. And the evening was the second day, and the
morning was the second.
 ON THE THIRD DAY GOD FORMED THE WATERS AND THE DRY LAND. HE
ALSO MADE THE TREES AND HERBS GROW.

And God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together in one place, and
let the dry land be uncovered.

And God called the dry ground Earth; and the gathering together of the waters He called
Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, "Let the earth bring forth green grass,
grass that yields seed; a tree of fruit that yields fruit according to its kind," and so it was.
And God saw that it was good. And the evening was the third day, and the morning was
the third.
 ON THE FOURTH DAY GOD CREATED THE SUN, THE MOON, AND THE
STARS.

Then God said, "Let there be lights in the heavens." And let them be for signs and for
seasons, and for days and years." God made two lights: the sun to light in the day, and
the moon to light in the night. He also made the stars.

And he set them all in heaven, to give light upon the earth; and God saw that it was good.
And the evening was the fourth day, and the morning was the fourth.
 ON THE FIFTH DAY GOD CREATED THE FISH OF THE SEA AND THE BIRDS
THAT FLY IN THE HEAVENS.

And God said, "Let living creatures bring forth water, and let birds fly upon the earth."
And God created great whales and all beings that live in the water, and every winged
bird-all produced according to their genus and species. And God saw that it was good.
And God blessed them, saying, "Reproduce and multiply." And the evening was the fifth
day, and the morning was the fifth.
 ON THE SIXTH DAY GOD CREATED THE OTHER CREATURES OF THE EARTH,
AND HE ALSO CREATED MAN.

Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures." And God made animals of the
earth, cattle, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth--all reproducing
according to their kind, and God saw that it was good.

And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." And the LORD God
formed man of the dust of the ground, And breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living soul.

And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created them; and He
created them male and female. God named the first man Adam; and then Adam called
the name of his wife, Eve.

And God said, "A man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his
wife: and the two shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, Adam and his wife, and
they were not ashamed."

And God saw all that He had made, and all was very good. And the evening was the sixth
day, and the morning was the sixth.
 ON THE SEVENTH DAY GOD RESTED.

And the heavens and the earth were finished. And God finished his work on the seventh
day. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it. And the LORD God had planted
a garden in Eden. He gave birth from the earth to every tree that is delightful in sight
and good for food.

God placed two trees in the center of the Garden: The Tree of Life and the Tree of
Knowledge of Good and Evil.

And the LORD God put the man in the garden of Eden to till it and to take care of it.

And the LORD God commanded the man, "Of every tree of the garden thou shalt eat; but
of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat.
Thou shalt never eat of that tree: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely
die." God showed His love for Adam and Eve, giving them everything they needed, and
even more, that they might enjoy life to the fullest.

He also gave them the ability to make decisions. And He gave these ancestors of
Humanity the opportunity to use this ability correctly. God wanted Adam and Eve to
show him respect, obeying his one command, that they should only not eat from the
forbidden tree. All other things were for their enjoyment.

To live in peace and be happy in their beautiful garden, Adam and Eve only needed to
trust God's wisdom and respect His authority over them. They should be grateful for
life and happy in their freedom, but the freedom to make decisions does not bring
happiness if bad decisions are made.
Long before God created humans, He created angels and gave them the freedom to
choose. God wanted to be honored, by the angels who inhabit the spirit region and also
by mankind.

Most of the angels chose to obey God, and even now these angels worship the Lord and
fulfill His commands by helping men in many ways. But other angels chose wrong,
rejected God's love, chose Lucifer, the most beautiful of angels, as their leader. Because
of her arrogance and pride Lucifer lost her position before the throne of God.

Lucifer fell from heaven for his rebellion, because he challenged God, saying in his heart,
"I will raise my throne above the stars of God: I will be as the Most High God.

Lucifer, also known in the Bible as the Devil or Satan, desires worship that belongs only
to God. Satan deceives mankind into receiving worship, even disguising himself as a
beautiful angel of light, but his lies and false religions cause pain, suffering and
destruction.

That is why God sentenced Lucifer by saying, "You shall be cast into Hell, even to the
bottom of the Abyss.
CONCLUSION

This is a brief summary of the beautiful history of creation. The full story is found in
Genesis 1 - 3 in the Holy Bible.

Let us briefly review some important lessons we have learned in this Creation Story:

 First, the Scriptures teach that our universe is not the result of an accident. It
was created by God. God is not the author of confusion. God made the earth to
be a paradise. Everyone was joyful. Even the animals had no reason to be afraid.
There was no bloodshed in the Garden of Eden. The devil, as you know, is the
author of the confusion. Once Adam and Eve heard the devil, the world became
a place of unrest. Today, if there is confusion in your life, or anywhere else, it did
not come from God.

 In the second place, we can learn from this story that it is always wise and right
to believe and obey God. God is our best friend and commands us to do only what
is good for us.

 In the third place, we can learn that sin does not come from outside, it comes
from inside. Jesus said, "That which comes out of man defiles man. For from
within, out of the hearts of men, come evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications,
murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander,
pride, folly. All these evils from within come out and defile man. (Mark 7:20-23)
Eve did not have to sin. She sinned because she wanted to. Adam sinned for the
same reason. This is the same reason we sin.

 In the fourth place we learn that God has a remedy for sin. When Adam and Eve
tried to cover themselves with fig leaves, their covering was insufficient. This
was why God prepared tunics of skins to cover them. (Genesis 3:21) The Bible
was originally written in the Hebrew language. The Hebrew word for
"propitiation" or "forgiveness" means "covering. God was preparing us to
understand how Jesus saves us. The Scriptures teach that Jesus Christ is the
"propitiation," or "covering," for our sin. (1 John 2:1)

 Finally, we learn that the devil will ultimately be destroyed. With the curse was
also given, a promise. Remember God's promise that one day the seed of the
woman would wound the head of the serpent. Jesus would destroy the devil.

 Today we live in a world of pain, sadness, suffering and death. However, one day
the devil will be shattered. Someday death will be shattered. This is good news
for you. Because of what Jesus did, you have the opportunity to inherit new
heavens and new earth in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:13)
