TESDA CSS NCII ASSESSMENT GUIDE

I decided to compile the data that I have in hopes it can help and guide us
in facing the final battle we’ve been preparing for almost Two Months.

• OHS Policies and Procedures

- Do not work alone so that there’s someone who can take care of in case of accident or emergency
- Use only rubber shoes when standing on the ground or in a concrete floor
- Always power off and unplug computer before using on it
- Contingency measures during workplace accidents, fire and other emergencies are recognized
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is correctly use in organization procedures and practice
- Read and Follow instruction on the manual carefully

• Disassemble & Assemble Computer Hardware

DISASSEMBLE ASSEMBLE

- Remove the left cover of the computer - Return Motherboard


case - Return CPU
- Remove cables and connectors - Return PCU fan
- Remove power supply - Return RAM
- Remove HDD - Return ODD
- Remove ODD - Return HDD
- Remove RAM - Return Power Supply
- Remove CPU fan - Return and plug cables and connectors
- Remove CPU - Return left cover case
- Remove Motherboard
• Computer Hardware/Parts Inventory
- Below, on the “Specification Column” are some of the basic/usual specification for the Computer
material/parts we need to remember (Brand, Model, Type, Capacity).

• OS Installation (Window Server -2008, Windows 7 UltimateX86)

- Turn off Computer before doing any actions

- Turn on Computer and continuously press F2 to enter Bios (Configure)

- Go to “Boot” Tab and “Boot Priorities”

- Set Removable device as first Boot Priority, Save and restart Computer

- Delete Partition, Create new Partition, Format Partition

- Install OS on Drive C, Continue setup …

- For the Server, install “DriverPack” ONLY

- For the Client-PC, install “DriverPack, Microsoft Office and Anti-Virus(Utility)

NOTE: Every time your Computer is being rebooted/restarted, check the Network Configuration, Advance
Sharing and Security and Firewall. Sometimes it automatically restore the default setting for such Features.
• Set-up Network Configuration

• Access Point Configuration


Configure access point and make as wireless connection repeater

- Reset Access Point by continuously pressing the reset button at the back of the device and wait
until all the indicator lights turns on (Yellow) for seconds.
- Open browser and type 192.168.0.1 (default IP Address of your Access Point) on the Address Bar
- Go to “Wireless” Tab, “Wireless Repeater”, Scan for active network, enter SSID then connect
- Use your Mobile Device to check the availability of your newly configured network
• Create Backup or System Image
- Click “Start” Button,
- Type “Backup and Restore”
- Upper right, click “ Setup Backup”
- Save Backup on Drive “D”

• Restore Backup or System Image


- Click “Start” Button
- Type “Backup and Restore”/ Go to “My Computer” and click Drive “D”

NOTE: Dli ko sure sa mga Terminology sa COC IV , but hope nga makuha ra ninyo ang thought.
• Evaluate or Diagnose Problems (Troubleshooting)
