IIT /AIIMS 2022 SCREENING TEST - INSTRUCTIONS
SCREENING TEST
1. This screening test is intended to select candidates to IIT / AIIMS 2022 coaching programme.
2. A student can appear for only one programme either IIT or AIIMS.
3. IIT /AIIMS 2022 programme - Different categories.
I) REGULAR BATCHES
Theory classes and entrance classes under the same roof is the special feature of regular batches.
Class timing: Monday to Saturday
We have three streams of INTEGRATED TWO YEAR regular Batches
1) ISC SYLLABUS
Designed for those who opt ISC syllabus in their +2 programme
Programme : AIIMS Batch, IIT Batch
Venue : Centre at Kottayam & Trivandrum
2) STATE SYLLABUS
Designed for those who opt Kerala State syllabus in their +2 programme
Programme - AIIMS Batch, IIT Batch
Venue : Centres at Kottayam, Pala, Changanassery & Trivandrum
3) CBSE SYLLABUS
Designed for those who opt CBSE syllabus in their +2 programme
Programme : AIIMS Batch, IIT Batch
Venue : Centres at Pala, Pallikkathode, Ettumanoor, Kattachira, Changanassery,
Kanjirappally, Ernakulam, Trissur, Kollam & Trivandrum
II) HYBRID BATCH
Class timing : All sundays, Selected Saturdays, Public Holidays and Vacations.
Designed for those who opt STATE, CBSE & ISC Syllabus in their +2 programme
Programme : AIIMS Batch, IIT Batch
Venue : Centres at Ernakulam & Trivandrum
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
4. Kindly note that the screening test is common for IIT and AIIMS Batches.
5. Common Selection and Scholarship list will be published for IIT and AIIMS batches
6. Candidate can select the preferable programme (IIT/AIIMS) by darkening the appropriate column in
the answer sheet.
7. Those students who are included in the Rank list can select either the IIT/AIIMS Batch based on their
Ranks at the time of admission.
8. If you have not uploaded photograph please affix your recently taken photograph on Hall Ticket.
9. Please report at the examination centre at least half an hour before the time given in the hall ticket and
late arrivial will not be entertained.
10. Candidate without hall ticket will not be permitted to write the test.
11. Test Date : 29th September 2019 Sunday.
The examination is scheduled from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm
Cool off time : 9.30am to 10.00 am.
Exam time : 10.00 am - 12.30 pm (2½ hrs.)
Medium of Question Paper - English

12. Blank paper, clipboard, log tables, slide rules, calculators, cellular phones, pagers and electronic gadgets
in any form are not allowed.
13. Eatable items are not allowed to be taken into the examination hall but drinking water is allowed.
14. No additional sheets will be provided for rough work. All the rough work is to be done in the blank space
provided in the question paper booklet.
15. Question paper booklet consists of three section. Section I-Physics, Section II-Chemistry and Section
III-Mathematics. Each section has two parts.
In part I (25 Questions each). Each question has four options (A),(B), (C) & (D). Only one of these
four option is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded four mark. One mark will be deducted
for each incorrect answer.
16. In part II (5 Questions each) answer to each question is a number ranging from 0 to 999 both inclusive.
No negative mark for incorrect answers.

17. Question paper booklet contain total 90 questions.


18. Maximum Mark is 360.
19. More than one answer marked against a question will be deemed as incorrect answer.
20. No negative mark for unattended questions.
21. Do not break the seals of the question booklet before being instructed to do so by the invigilators
22. Immediately after opening the question booklet, candidate should verify whether the question booklet
issued contains all the 90 questions, if not, request for replacement.
23. The answers should not be marked in the question paper.
24. Those students indulging in any kind of malpractice will be disqualified.
Filling the Optical Response Sheet (ORS)
25. OMR Answer scripts are processed by electronic means. The following instructions are to be followed
to strictly avoid invalidation of answer scripts
26. The Optical Response Sheet (ORS) is provided separately.
27. Handle the OMR sheet with utmost care as it is to be read by machine.
28. Do not write or make any mark on the Answer Sheet except at the space specially provided for
29. All entries in the OMR Answer Sheet are to be made with blue or black ball - point pen only. No other
colours permitted. Marking with fountain pen, gel pen, sketch pen or pencil is not permitted.
30. If the OMR sheet given is found defective, get it replaced by a new one.
31. Question paper booklet code is printed on the right hand top of the ORS.
32. Please ensure that the Booklet Code shown on the top of the Question Booklet is the same as that shown
in the ORS. If you have received a Question Booklet with a different Booklet Code, please get it
replaced with a Question Booklet with the same Booklet Code as that of the ORS from the Invigilator.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

33. Students should write all the required details in the answersheet (name, student ID, prefered programme,
centre, roll number, address, Phone no. stream, etc..)
34. The bubbles should be fully shaded.
Example : Qn. How many sides a triangle has
A) 3 B) 4 C) 2 D) 1 Ans. A

35. Mark your answer only in the appropriate space in the answer sheet against the number corresponding
to the question

36. The answers once marked should not be erased, crossed or corrected using correction fluid. Such
corrections will be treated as wrong answer.

37. Rough work must not be done on the answer sheet.

38. Answer sheet should be handed over to the invigilator immediately after the examination.

39. Answer Key : The tentative answer key of the screening test will be published in our website at
1.30 p.m. on 29-09-2019. Changes in the answer key, if any , shall be send to our mail
(brilliantstudycentre@gmail.com) with detailed explanation on or before 7 pm. on 29-09-2019. Any
suggestion or correction, will not be counted thereafter.

40. The corrected key will be published in our website at 3.00 p.m. on 30-09-2019 and it will be treated as
final.

41. Result : The results of the screening test will be published in the web site of the Brilliant
(www.brilliantpala.org/brilliantpala.in) on or before 10 p.m 03-10-2019.

42. Those who failed to get selected on screening test based 29-09-2019 can write the screening test to be
held in December 2019.Date, Time, Scholarships,etc...will be published later.

43. Admission Procedure & Orientation Programme : There will be an orientation programme
after the publication of the Rank List. The details regarding the admission will be explained during
orientation programme. Every student whose name figure in merit list together with his/her parent/
guardian/a person authorized by the parent should attend an orientation programme at any one of the
following places given below. Participation of students in the orientation programme is highly advisable
but not compulsory.

Admission etc, the decision of the Board of Directors of Brilliant Study centre shall be final.

1) Physics: Units and Measurements, Motion, Laws of motion, Force, Pressure, Energy, Gravitation, Work,
Energy & Power, Sound, Heat, Light, Electricity, Electric Circuits, Resistance & Ohms Law, Household
Circuits, Electro Magnetism, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current
2) Chemistry: Atoms, Molecules, Compounds, Mixtures, Separation of substances, Chemical Reaction &
Equations, Mole Concept, Acid, Base & Salt, Metals & Non Metals, Periodic classification
3) Mathematics: Number Systems. Polynomials. Quadratic Equations, Linear Equations in one and two
variables, Algebra, Trigonometry. Co-ordinate Geometry. Geometry (Lines and Angles, Triangles), Statistics,
Circles, Mensuration, Surface Area and Volume, Heights and Distances, Commercial mathematics
(profit, loss etc.)
