Camera system TruVidia SD

The new colour camera technology is specially designed for use with TRUMPF MED
iLED or TruLight surgical lights either in the light heads or at separate carrying arm.
The new 1/6“ Super CCD camera incorporates a newly developed Serial Digital Inter-
face (SDI) for rapid, convenient transmission of digital video (optional), a technologi-
cal first in the field of surgical light camera systems. SDI is the preferred method for
digital image routing, digital flat panel display and digital image capture and archiving
in today's fully integrated all-digital operating rooms. Not only does SDI deliver the
highest quality images, but it also allows the use of longer cable lengths without the
use of expensive repeaters.

The powerful 25 x AF optical zoom lens, 12 x AF digital zoom as well as an image

stabiliser function are standard features of the new camera. This camera also fea-
tures a newly developed Digital Signal Processing (DSP) that greatly enhances the
quality realised by the slow shutter function and the digital zoom. With its new DSP
system, the AE area can be user-defined and controlled to optimise the brightness
within the specific area. The image stabiliser minimises the appearance of shaky
images caused by low frequency vibration, making the camera ideal for surgery ap-
plications in OR. Carrying arms without any stops.

The innovative sterile operating concept at the iLED 5 surgical light head permits er-
gonomical work processes and supports an intuitive operation of the camera. Optio-
nal is the special control software which allows camera access via TCP/IP address.
All camera functions could be controlled via existing hospital LAN. The newly develo-
ped Digital Still Memory Mode captures digital still images (720 x 582 PAL - 720 x
482 NTSC) directly onto Memory Stick media for easy transfer to e-mail, printing, or
sharing with compatible Memory Stick devices.

The highly sophisticated digital codec for digital video streaming via existing hospital
LAN to store or transmit LIVE video sequences (MPEG 2 and MPEG 4) is available
with a bi-directional audio transmission for Telemedicine purposes (optional).
