INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION:
Electronicscomprises the physics, engineering, technology and applications that deal with the
emission. Flow and control of electrons in vacuum and matter [1].
Electronics is widely used in information processing, telecommunication, and signal processing. The
ability of electronic devices to act asswitchesmakes digital information processing
possible.Interconnection technologies such as circuit boards.Electronics packaging technology, and
mixed electronic components into a regular working system.Called an electronic system. (ex) are
computers or control systems. An electronic system may be a component of another engineered
system or a standalone device. As of 2018 most electronic device [2] use semiconductor components
to perform electron control.
The identification of electron in 1897, along with invention of the vacuum tube. Which could amplify
and rectify small electrical signals, inaugurated the field of electronics and the electron age [3] .
Electrical and electromechanical science and technology deals with generation, distribution,
switching, storage, and conversion of electrical energy to and from other energy forms (using wires,
motors, generators, batteries, switches, relays, transformers, resistors, and other passive
components). This distribution started around 1906 with the invention by Lee De Forest of the
triode, which made electrical amplification of weak radio signals and audio signals possible with a
non-mechanical device. Until 1950, this field was called “radio technology” because its principal
application was the design and theory of radio transmitters, receivers, and vacuum tubes.
The term “solid-state electronics” emerged after the first working transistor was invented by William
Shockley, Walter Houser Brattain and John Bardeen at Bell Labs in 1947. The MOSFET (MOS
transistor) was later invented by Mohamed Atalla andDawonKahng at Bell Labs in a959. The
MOSFETwas the first truly compact transistor that could be miniaturised and mass-produced for a
wide range of uses, revolutionizing the electronics industry, and playing a central role in the
microelectronics revolution and Digital Revolution. TheMOSFEThas since become the basic element
in most modern electronic equipment, and is the most widely used electronic device in the world.
The study of semiconductor devices and related technology is considered a branch of solid-
state physics, whereas the design and construction of electronic circuits to solve practical problems
come under electronics engineering.
OBJECTIVES OF STUDIES
OBJECTIVE OF STUDIES:
ISO:9001-14001
E-mail: salzer2@salzergroup.com
In recent year the electronics industry is growing at a brisk pace. It’s currently worth $32billion and
according to industry estimates it has the potential to reach $ 150billion by 2010.the largest
segment is the consumer electronics segment. While is largestexportsegment is of components.
The electronic industry in India consists just 0.75% of global electronic industry. Hence its minuscule
by internationalcomparison, Howeverthe demand in the Indian market is growing rapidly and
investment are following into augment manufacturing capacity. The output of electronic hardware
industry in India is worth $11.6billion at present. Indian also exporter of a vast range of electronic
components and products for the following segments.
Like every other industries sector in India, the Indian electrical/electronics industry too is slowly
emerging from out of its “protective cover”. For far too long Indian industry remained shackled and
consequently inward looking.
The prestigious ISO 9001 certification by NQA-UK has been obtained forDesign, development,
manufacture and supply of CAM operated rotary switches and allied products. The company has
strong research and development facility with the full-fledged laboratory to upgrade the product
and set new market trends .in house research and development has been recognized by ministry of
science and technology, development of science and industrial research, government of India.
Today, they are market leaders in India for “ROTARY SWITCHES”.
M/S. Larsen & turbo limited, the Indian industrial giant in engineering has been marketing SALZER
switches throughout India since 1993.Having marketing tie-up with India’s largest engineering and
infrastructure industries such as L&T Ltd. To cater the Indian market through their market network
whichCovers an area more than 300-400 stockiest/dealers. This company has 40% market share in
rotary switch segment. salzer electronics is largest supplier to Indian railways.
