the lower shelf of the SCC stand.
13. Unpack the Ethernet hub, with cables
and power adapter, and set it on top of
the CPU.
14. Unpack the external modem with
cables and power adapter, and set it on
top of the CPU.
15. Unpack the power cords, serial cables,
DIGIBOARD cable, Ethernet cables and
adapters and set them aside.

Connect SCC 1. Connect the monitor signal cable to the

CPU to rear of the SCC. [3]
Peripherals 2. Connect one end of the touch screen
monitor cable to the rear of the monitor
and the other end to the COM1 port on
the rear of the SCC. [2]
3. Connect the mouse to the mouse
(PS2) port on the back of the SCC. [4]
4. Connect the data input device(s).
If the optional hand held bar
code scanner is not part of the
package, go to Step5.
If the optional hand held bar
code scanner is part of the
package, connect the splitter to
the keyboard connector (PS2)
on the back of the SCC [1] and
connect the scanner and the
keyboard to the splitter. Go to
Step6.
5. Connect the keyboard to the keyboard
connector (PS2) on the back of the
SCC [1].

Ethernet connector [6] on the back of
the SCC, to one of the standard
Ethernet ports on the hub.
7. If part of the package, connect the
optional speakers to the SCC [7]
(according to instructions in the
accompanying manual).

Note
Amplified use of the speakers
requires a power source
(batteries or adaptor). The power
source is optional.

8. Connect the printer parallel cable from

the printer port to the parallel printer
port on the back of the SCC. [5]
Connect Serial 1. Connect the single end of the 8-port
Interface (DIGI) serial cable to the DIGIBOARD
Connectors connector on the SCC.
2. Connect DIGIBOARD P6 (COM 8) to
DIGIBOARD P1 (COM 3) using the null
modem connector.
3. If part of the package, connect the
optional modem.
Connect the DIGIBOARD
connector P2 (COM4) to the
external modem serial
connector.

Connect Cables 1. Attach one (1) Ethernet cable to one of

to Processing the standard Ethernet ports on the hub
Module(s) and the other end of the cable to the
top connector at the rear of the
processing module. Label the upper
port on the rear of the module SH.

Note
Additional processing modules in
a multi-module system require
an Ethernet cable from a
standard Ethernet port on the
hub to the upper Ethernet port
on the module. Label the ports
on the processing module (label
upper port SH; label lower port
PM).
2. Attach one (1) Ethernet to one of the
standard Ethernet ports on the hub and
the other end of the cable to the bottom
connector at the rear of the processing
module. Label the lower port on the
