South Side Drive Decatur, IL 62521 (217) 424-2724 PRESS RELEASE: October 24, 2019 ‘The Decatur Police Department reports that on Monday, October 7, 2019 Patrol officers responded to the 600 block of E. Leafland Ave, in Decatur in reference to an unresponsive 19- ‘month-old child. Upon arrival the child was found to be deceased. An investigation into the death of the child began at that time. As a result of the on-going investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest Jessica A. Logan, W/F, 25. Jessica was arrested and booked into the Macon County Jail charged with First Degree Murder. This investigation is still on-going at this time. The Decatur Police Department has no additional information to release at this time. The Decatur Police Department does not maintain booking photos. Requests for booking photos should be directed to the Macon County Jail.
