Zambales.

*First, a letter for the owner to ask some permission before conducting the research

survey.

*Survey questionnaires that will be answered by the sari-sari store owners.

v

To fulfill this task there is a sample questionnaire below, that the respondents need

to answer to find out the impact of debt in a sari-sari store.

IN A SARI-SARI STORE IN DEL PILAR CASTILLEJOS, ZAMBALES. The

descriptive method is used for this research that will provide description of the

respondents and answered survey questionnaires. There are a lot of possible respondents

who are the sari-sari store owners but the researcher just focuses on twenty (20) sari-sari

store owners at Del Pilar Castillejos, Zambales. This study is considered to be

convenience sampling a non-probability sampling technique; the samples are selected

because they are approachable to the researcher. This technique is considered to be easiest,

cheapest and least time consuming. The study was conducted for at least three (3) weeks.

This study used paper-pencil questionnaires.

The findings of the study are summarized below:

1. 1,000-2,000 is the most preferred limited amount of some store owners for their

customers.

business will not grow and their business will be stable.

for a day.

Conclusion

This research investigated the impact of debt in a sari-sari store in Del Pilar

Castillejos, Zambales. The research survey respondents composed of twenty (20) sari-sari

store owners.

Based on the summary of findings, the researcher concluded that the store owners

believe that the impact of debt in their business is the possibility of bankruptcy, lessen

their business income, their business will be less productive, their business will not grow

and their business will be stable. Some of the store owners limit the amount of debt for

every customer for them to minimize the possibility of bankruptcy of their business.

The debts have big impact in a business, especially in a small business like sari-sari

stores. Some of the creditors didn’t pay well and those debts reduced the progress of the

business. The most preferred limited amount of some store owners is one thousand (1,000)

to two thousand (2,000) pesos for every customer. Debts have big impact, yet they should

have some strategies or solutions to help the business grow. The success of the business is

not all about having a lot of profit for a day; it’s about how the owners manage it. Listing

the names of the creditors, value of their debts and date when they borrowed is already

vii
used mostly of the sari-sari stores in Del Pilar Castillejos, Zambales for them to remind

the creditors about their past or new debts.

Recommendations

The researcher has offered the following recommendations:

1. The store owners should be wise in allowing creditors to borrowed goods or money

to have assurance that those debts will pay back according to the agreement and no one

will run or totally don’t pay on their debts.

2. The store owners should provide the limited amount for every customer for them to

get balance income and debt on their business.

3. The store owners should allow the creditors to borrow again if the past debts are

already paid, to lessen the unpaid bills of the creditors.

4. Having a lot of customers is better for a business, because the more customers the

more profit the business may have.

5. Creating a good relationship towards your customers is a great marketing strategy,

get their satisfaction by your service and products can build their trust and wants you to

be their regular supplier or seller.

6. Creating some plans and strategy for the business can be used to help for not

staying stable it should have changes or progress.

7. This study will help some store owners who are inclined in allowing creditors to

borrow goods for them to notice how debt can affect on their business progress.

viii
8. This study will help the future researcher, who is going to conduct the related study

about the impact of debt in a small business or other research study about debt and sari-

sari stores, this can be used as a based on how to create a good research work.
