1 GENERAL OBJECTIVES

This procedure is guidance for Peciko 7A Field Development Project EPCI 2 Instrument Tube Flushing
Execution.

1. PREPARATION
The following Tools & Material shall available prior start the work:
 Check initial Hydraulic oil Total Azzola ZS 32 ISO-4406 (previously NAS 6) cleanliness level

 Inspected Electric Hydraulic Flushing pump
 Tube / hose, fitting & valve
 Nitrogen bottle
 Air regulator
 Nut & double ferrule

2. TUBE BLOWING
Prior hydraulic flushing, new installed tube shall be blowed using nitrogen to reduce amount of tube
cutting chip during fitting & tubing installation. Nitrogen pressure to be applied to new installed tube
shall not exceed tube working pressure. Below is general step for tube blowing:
1. Set nitrogen regulator ( R ) to desired blowing pressure
2. Conect new installed tube to testing line
3. Open valve (V-1) to blow tube line.
4. Cap both end of tube to keep it clean.

3. TUBE HYDRAULIC FLUSHING

This procedure applicable on new installed tube network only. As mentioned in GS EP INS 146,
the battery limit between the HPU and hydraulic network shall be the bulkhead connectors. Special
attention shall be paid to the cleaning and passivation of the hydraulic lines. Hydraulic lines shall be
flushed to reach level 6 cleanliness according to ISO as recommended by GS EP INS 101 & GS EP
INS 107 (previously NAS 6).
Hydraulic pressure to be applied to new installed tube shall not exceed tube working pressure.
Below is general step for tube blowing:
1. Ensure hydraulic oil ISO-4406 (previously NAS 6) cleanliness level is available & in enough
level to perform the work
2. Electric hydraulic pump already inspected & ready for operation
3. Run the electric pump
4. Let hydraulic oil pass through hydraulic filter & circulate through tube network

C1 5. After circulating 5 minutes, stop the pump

6. Run Particle counter Unit to measure circulated oil cleanliness, it shall indicate ISO-4406
(previously NAS 6) cleanliness level.
7. In case of circulated oil contaminant particle counting result is not ISO-4406 (previously NAS 6)
cleanliness level, follow the following step:
i. Replace hydraulic filter with the new one.
ii. Re-circulate hydraulic oil until it`s contaminant level reach oil ISO-4406 (previously
NAS 6), 150 time of tube volume circulation is recommended by GS EP SPS 023
8. Cap shall be installed on flushed hydraulic network to avoid contaminant.
