CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
Housing-The housing and lens frame are die cast aluminum
providing light weight and durability. The lens frame retains the
clear, heat and impact resistant, glass lens. Two, over center,
stainless steel latches seal the hinged door assembly to an
extruded silicone gasket and allow lamp access without the
use of tools.
Optics-A hydro-formed, semi-specular anodized aluminum
rellector is supplied for mogul base lamps to provide a wide
beam spread (6V x 6H). For double ended HPS lamps, the
hydrojormed anodized parabolic reflector is available in
three different linishes to produce narrow, medium and
wide distributions.
Mounting-All units come with a factory installed yoke
bracket. Yoke allows easy adjustment of fixture with standard
tools. Yoke can be mounted directly to walls and poles, or,
mounted to an optional crossarm fitting with horizontal degree
scale, or a 2" pipe slipfitter.
lntegral Ballast-Starting rated to 20"F. All Mercury Vapor,
Metal Halide and Hiqh Pressure Sodium Ballasts are constanl
wattage autotranslormer (C.WA.) type. High Pressure Sodium
Ballasts utilize an electronic starter circuit. All ballasts are high
power factor. Ballasts are mounted directly to outer housing
to optimize heat dissipation. The capacitor and starter are
located in an external wiring box to allow lor cooler operating
temperatures.
Wiring Box-An externally mounted, fully gasketed, die cast
aluminum wiring box allows mounting of heat sensitive ballast
components as well as the optional fuses or tuse block and
photo cell when specifjed. Wiring box is pre-wired to internal
ballast and is supplied with a 4' length of 14 AWG/3 conductor,
type SOW-A cord.
Lampholder-For mogul base lamps, the lampholder will
consist ot a glazed porcelain body with a spring-loaded,
nickel-plated center contact and reinforced lamp grip screw
shell. For double ended High Pressure Sodium lamps, the
lampholders consists of a porcelain body in a nickelplated
steel housing with a one piece, solid copper contact pin.
Contact pressure is maintained by a stainless steel spring.
HPS sockets are 4KV pulse rated.
Finish-Standard baked-on enamel paint finish is Tahitian
Bronze. Other finishes are available.
Lamps-Fixture will accommodate 250/400W double ended
High Pressure Sodium and 250 watt mogul base l\4ercury
Vapor/l\.4etal Halide and 250/400W mogul base High Pressure
Sodium lamps.
