The Ladder

A girl who live simple and love God.

When I was a child I always wanted to live simple covered by love and faith in God.
Never assumed and thinking that there was something missing in me especially in my
life. My name was made by meaning that I would keep on until my last goodbye.
Nemis Tuesday Bless Aquinde, a named given to me by my mother with the helped
of my grandfather. My mother told me that this name has a sentimental value that will
always reminds me whenever I go and whatever achievements I can get. My mother
worked far away from me when I was elementary because she needs to earn so that she
can provide my needs. I grew up in the hands of my grandparents and my aunts and
uncles. I never met my father but I didn’t feel that he`s not in my side because my uncle
treated me as his own child. I am blessed because I have my stepfather who accepted
me and also treated me as his own daughter.
I experienced being a working student when I was in high school and my college
life was filled with new things. I experienced going to school without allowance, and
borrowing photocopies/ Xerox copies of our lessons.
I graduated in elementary at Kalanawi 2 Elementary School and I finished my
secondary in Kalanawe 2 National High School. I got my bachelor degree at Sultan
Kudarat State University-ACCESS Campus, EJC Montilla, Tacurong City with a degree
of Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Filipino. In September 2017 I have passed
the Licensure Examination for Teacher.
When people asking me about my plan after I graduate, I just smile. I smiled
because I do not know yet the answer. But as the time passes by and as I started working
in a private school, I have realized that the plans I have for myself are not really mine,
instead my family owns it. I love teaching and I love sharing about experiences and life
story of a successful person who strived hard just to reach it. I love seeing my students
smiling at me and saying, “Ma`am, I love you. Salamat sa pagiging panyo at magiging
nanay sa amin.” These words from my students really give me courage and help me
realize that my passion in teaching and the field I chose was not just about teaching but
it`s all about touching the lives of the young ones and give them the best learnings they
could ever had and that is knowing yourself despite of the risks that will pull you down
and most of all is serving God.
I wake up every day thanking God for giving me another day to live and giving
another opportunity to be with my students and share a new set of learnings. Yes, people
are working to earn money, but honestly, me, as a teacher, at first I want to have a job so
that I can help my parents and I can buy my needs, but right now, I am teaching not just
to earn, I am teaching because I was once a student who has a dream to become
successful. Meaning, I am teaching because I was called to be the path and serve as an
inspiration. For now, I can say that I`m just starting to build my ladder to become a
successful person with the help of Lord God.
