Job Description

 Attend and maintains logs of Fire alarms, Gas alarms, Supervisory alarms and Trouble
alarms generated from the plant.
 Responsible for dispatching crew according to Fire and Gas alarms from various locations
& Medical case, Accident or Incident inside the plant.
 During emergency Inform Fire and Rescue.
 Activate to the related REFMAC (Ruwais Emergency Fire Mutual Aid Committee).
 Activate Incident Management Team, Record update.
 Communicates through Public address announcement system, emergency message and
evacuation of employees.
 Activate Fire pump from Fire control room during emergency.
 Activate Emergency evacuation site siren alarm.
 Continuously monitors and operates all systems provided in Fire Control Room as
follows: DCS, CCTV, Radio Communication System, PA system, Weather Station and
keeps related records.
  Receives and handles all emergency signals and calls, properly prioritizes and addresses
them as per Company Procedures and Guidelines including initiating of emergency
response actions. Monitors them and supports as required.
 Maintains contact with the Fire & Rescue Team at the scene of the incident to keep up to
date with the situation and ensure staff safety by providing them incident related info.
 Ensures that all Control Room systems & equipment’s are fully operational by performing
required tests. Immediately reports all identified abnormalities to Fire Shift Supervisor.
 Updates the Fire Control Room documentation accordingly to the current changes or
initiates adequate actions in this matter.
 Alerts on-call personnel in a case of emergency and when Fire Shift Supervisor requested.
 Establishes and maintains communication with REFMAC partners during an emergency
or when requested by Fire Shift Supervisor.
 Handles non-emergency calls to the appropriate person.
 Maintains accurate records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence relative to the
work.
 Follows on call duties during off hours as per company/section policy.
 Attending all Fire control activities and recording in log book

detection system, loop check, fault rectification, addressing device, inspection & testing of
fire alarm panel communication, periodic maintenance of local alarm mimic panels
involving Simplex, Minimax, Wormald, How, Discovery, Kidde-Fenwal & MX panels.
 Installing, servicing, testing and troubleshooting of General Monitor, Drager (FX), Sieger,
Zellwager, Det-Tronics and Digi Cat Gas detectors.
 Testing and maintenance of loop check & fault rectification of Analog & Digital Linear
Heat Detectors (LHD) in Floating roof tanks, heat exchangers, reactors and pumps.
 Maintenance and troubleshooting of Inergen, CO2 gases, Novec, FM200 systems solenoid
valves, directional valves, pressure gauge, pressure switches and pilot cylinders.
  Testing and maintenance of deluge valves and sprinklers systems interfaced with fire
alarm system and Control Systems (Honeywell, Siemens and Yokogawa).
 Servicing, Calibrating and Troubleshooting of Pressure Transmitters, Pressure Gauges,
Pressure High and Low indication switches which are installed in Deluge system and
Sprinklers systems.
 Maintenance & troubleshooting of VESDA System (smoke aspirator systems).
 Troubleshooting, maintenance & testing of UV/IR Flame detectors and Flame vision
detectors in tank area and turbine area.
 Maintenance, troubleshooting and testing of open path combustible gas detectors installed
in process areas and sphere tanks.
 Master Control Panel, CCTV system maintenance & servicing camera lens, pan & tilt,
motor, Inspection of control card, operation check of matrix, inspection & servicing of
