 ROTATING EQUIPMENTS

Hands on experiences in the following equipment with good knowledge in

Theoretical & Practical aspects of Maintenance of Equipment in Offshore,
Refineries Plants.

PUMPS:

a) Having relevant experience in maintenance in all types of pumps such as centrifugal,

reciprocating and rotary pumps.
b) Obtaining a complete check list of the dismantled equipment and keep a record of the
same.
c) Inspect the condition of rotating parts namely shaft, sleeve, impeller, oil deflectors,
wear rings, bearings, coupling and stationary parts such as casing stuffing box,
distance pieces and bearing housing.

RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS:

Preventive maintenance and complete overhauling of compressor used for

instrument air, utility air, and to produce nitrogen.

a) Replacing piston rings, guide rings, rod packing and adjustment of TDC and
BDC.
b) Replacing main bearings and big end bearings.
c) Refurbishment of suction and discharge valves & Renew of cylinder liner
d) Worked on the unloaded device of compressor.

MECHANICAL SEALS :

a) Refurbished all type of single double, tandem and cartridge seals, having single,
multi-spring and bellows.
b) Renewed packing seal faces and maintained operating length lapping seal faces to
the required finish.
VALVES:

Experiences in servicing and testing various types of safety and relief valves.

a) On line popping and reseating pressure setting of the safety valves on high
pressure boiler.
b) Servicing and testing valves like gate valves, globe valves, angle valves, ball
valves, types of check valves, diaphragm valves & butterfly valves

STATIC EQUIPMENTS:
a) Maintenance jobs carried out in Heat exchangers of Fixed , Floating and U tube
type which include activities right from blinding, bundle pulling , cleaning ,
testing , repair works as per inspection etc.,
b) Maintenance jobs carried out in Fin fan Air coolers which include activities like
blinding ,Plugs removal tubes ID cleaning, Hydro testing activities, etc.,
c) Maintenance jobs carried out in replacing existing tower internals as per
requirement.

Responsibilities

 Routine checking of all plant rotary and static equipment like pumps, compressor
and vessels.
 Doing field mechanical jobs as per instruction of higher authority.
 Keep all work permit like Hot and Cold work permit doing the job for safe work.
 Involve job in field equipment maintenance and maintain good housekeeping.
