What is Love?

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for the time that given to me. I am very
happy to stand in front of you, to speak about a beautiful thing in this world, “What is Love?”
Love is a beautiful thing in this world. Without love we can’t live. Nowadays love known
as a “give and take”, we give to others and get from the others. There are many explanations for
the word love, depends on some site in the internet, love is words of affirmation, love is quality
time, love is receiving gifts, love is acts of service, and love is physical touch.
But For me love is we give good things without thinking about what it will be, we get the
benefits of it or not. Depends on what I’ve said and what I’ve heard, there are two types of love;
love that most known nowadays and divine love.
Love as known nowadays is love most known in this world. Love with mother, father,
brother, sister, all family, friends or who ever have relationship with us, like a girl friend or boy
friend. This kind of love is the same as animal have, animal also love his family, etc. Kind of this
love also usually make us happy only about 20%, but most of the time we get sad after that.
Divine love is love in divine way, Loving husband in divine way, loving wife in divine
way. Divine love is not only love with family; persons that have a relationship with us, but also
loving the earth, loving the plans, even love with who ever hate him or her self. This love is love
without attachment; attachment means we give love without sadness after the love disappear, and
without thinking what would be done after that, just give love to everyone and every things, give,
give, and give. For me this kind of love is a human’s love. In Indonesian we say human’s love,
“cinta dari seorang manusia” word manusia comes from words “manu” and “sia”. In hindu
“manu” means the first man that come to this earth, he was born by the mind of lord Brahma.
And “sia” means sisya, sisya means student, in this case student means who follow the step of
what Manu did. That’s why human called as the highest creation of god.
I think divine love is a good one, because we love everything without thinking to much
and without perception, and because this kind of love will bring peace to everyone and
everything.
My suggestion is we have to practice this divine love, to bring peace to everything. Ok,
