Simple present tense is a tense which used to explain something that

happen in present time. This tenses is using verb1, and has some formula such as:

➢ Nominal Sentence
 (+) Subject + to be (am, is, are) + adjective/adverb + complement

(-) Subject + to be (am, is, are) + not + adjective/adverb + complement

(?) To be (am, is, are) + subject + adjective/adverb + complement

You Should Know!

We use present continuous tense to describe something that is

happening at present.

The patterns

(+) Subject + to be (am, are, is) + verbing + complement

(-) Subject + to be (am, are, is) + not + verbing + complement

(?) To be (am, are, is) + subject + verbing + complement

Examples:

The students are playing basketball now

The gardener is sweeping the yard right now

Look! The boy is drawing a big ship in his drawing book

The time signal include at present, now, right now, and listen

We use the past continuous tense to talk about actions that were going on,

or happening at a certain moment in the past.
