QAS 600 Vod – CONVERTING FROM 60 Hz to 50 Hz

1. Turn main battery disconnect switch off

2. Remove AVR access panel from right side of alternator

3. Install jumper wire at 50-60Hz blade connector
4. On QC1002 controller remove wires at #16 terminal

5. Set shut down parameters for 50 Hz operation – When changing settings in some cases a
password will have to be entered in order to change the setting. Passwords are “2003” or
“1968”

Over voltage shut down - Set at 460 V

Under voltage shut down – Set at 180 V

Over frequency shut down - Set at 59 Hz

 Under frequency shut down – Set at 44 Hz

6. After all setting changes adjust the voltage at the voltage pot on AVR and finer adjustments at
the voltage potentiometer at control panel.
CONVERTING FROM 50 Hz to 60 Hz

1. Turn main battery disconnect switch off

2. Remove AVR access panel from right side of alternator

3. Remove jumper wire at 50-60Hz blade connector

4. On QC1002 controller re-connect wires at #16 terminal

5. Set shut down parameters for 60 Hz operation – When changing settings in some cases a
password will have to be entered in order to change the setting. Passwords are “2003” or
“1968”
 Over voltage shut down - Set at 540 V

Under voltage shut down – Set at 180 V

Over frequency shut down - Set at 69 Hz

Under frequency shut down – Set at 54 Hz

6. After all setting changes adjust the voltage at the voltage pot on AVR and finer
adjustments at the voltage potentiometer at control panel.
