Queer, Intersex, and Asexual. However, LGBTQIA is a trend issue nowadays because many
people still get judged by it. LGBTQIA are individuals that live in fear of showing their true
identity to the world because they simply fear that society won’t accept them as who they truly
are and having a different sexual orientation. Many individuals having that different sexual

towards to them is very unusual because the fact that many of them who are part of this
community are in fault of pursuing their career in the future and not only that, but a job for them
as well. Discrimination towards individuals who are gay, bisexual, lesbian, and transgender have
a big fear that they would have to overcome certain scenarios such as getting fired for being part
of LGBTQIA or because nowadays other people around them would just stare at them like they
don’t belong on this planet. According to Sutter, M, she stated on how 200 hundred LGBTQ
individuals got surveyed based on what their experience based on discrimination, racism, mental
health, etc. This shows that when reviewing all individuals who were a part of the community,

they all felt that they wanted to go through some suicidal issues within the mental health they
already had which made it worse for them because of how they were treated. Within this
community I believe everyone should be treated the same because in my own world, I’ve seen
many individuals like them who would deal with Employment Discrimination. Employment
Discrimination would as well be a big issue towards to their community because I find that these
individuals want to be fit in and be a part like everyone else and try to find a job and earn to get a
living of their own, but it seems that most of these individuals would get fired straight from their
job because of their identities. The types of comments that LGBT youths would face as of right
now like, “I hate gays. They should be banned from this country. I can’t stand the sight of you.”
All this shows what they go through everyday and not only do they get these bad things at school
Being part of the LGBTQ community doesn’t mean that everything has to happen for the
worst. Being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender doesn’t mean that you have to be apart
from what others want. Domestic Violence is just a stuck up with this community. As you can
see in movies, real life, and commercials these individuals would get the much violence they can
have throughout their entire lives. Having to get pushed around, hit, beaten down to the floor,
having to be called by ridiculous names is just terrible and having to put that much pressure on
them everyday wherever they go just makes it seem worse for them to do something terrible to
commit suicide, or to try to hurt themselves as much as they can take the pain. This article states
the different types of domestic violence that LGBTQ community face through, “ about 20%
experienced physical violence, 16% are threats and intimidations, 15% is when being verbally
harrassed, 4% is sexual violence.” This shows the many ways that these individuals would go
through everyday even when not expecting with what’s coming at them.

Criminal Justice would be one to fight for especially within all of the LGBTQ
individuals. I believe the fact of criminal justice here is for these individuals to stop wanting to
be their true selves into the world, but wanting to do so would make them go into a bad situation
to not only themselves, but into their entire lives. According to Kevin L. Nadal, he states,
“Individuals who are LGBTQ identified are faced with the criminal justice system and within the
type of discrimination they face, as both perpetrators and victims of crime.” This shows that
these groups of people who keep identifying themselves as part of the LGBTQ community, with
the disrimination they keep facing, the more likely it is for them to get into the criminal justice
system and would make them put aside for criminal activity and would be put into prison.
This community just needs what they fight for which is acceptance. Acceptance towards
them is like wanting a rest into it or not wanting a change into what they are fighting for. Colleen
Curry states in her article within one of the issues towards the LGBTQ community, “Not only
are there individuals trying to make a living and trying to keep their lives together, but about
40% of homeless youth identify as part of the LGBTQ community who all got rejected by their
families.” This shows that them having to be able to live in the streets all alone at a very young
age means that the reason goes to their parents by not having to accept them for who they are and
who they want to be in their own lives. It seems bad and sad having these many youth children
ending up to be living on the streets when all they want is to be themselves and earn a living.
Overall, I believe that the LGBTQIA community should be treated differently. Rather
than being called other names. LGBTQIA shouldn’t feel bad everyday because of these people.
People who are straight should be more kind towards them because they don’t know what they
are going through in life. Just because the LGBTQIA have differences than straight people, that
doesn’t mean they don’t have the same achievements, goals, inspiration, and careers/dreams that

all people want. Therefore, LGBTQIA should be treated equally and fair as such as what we
would want. One of my gay friends once told me, “Love is a human experience, not a political
statement” This means that no matter what type of gender or personality you are love can be
towards to anybody, but if love can be shared to only a specific gender then that means you or
