Orientation Task

NAME : GROUP: 01

Instructions:

1. After studying the information provided about our virtual course HERE and being
part of our face-to-face orientation, please answer some questions.

Can you describe the methodology of our courses? (How do you study? What is your role as a
student?)

The methodology of the course is managed with the development of six units and each one has
a certain number of study modules, the units are evaluative and there are also two exams as
well as a final project. My role as a student is to be very responsible with all assigned activities
and at the appropriate time.

What are the advantages of this methodology for you? (Mention at least three)

the advantages are:

1) I can manage my time

2) I have more commitment since learning is autonomous

3) Development skills that maybe in the classroom are a bit less frequent as it is when
listening to audios.

What are the disadvantages of this methodology for you?

The only disadvantage that I find is that the teacher is not there to correct very common
mistakes when using the pronunciation of the language.

Why is collaborative learning important in our course?

The importance of this teaching strategy in our course is that all members participate in
“community” for the achievement of common goals, it is a way of working in a group that
overcomes the isolation and competitive positions that both damage the functionality of the
groups in general.

Besides the proposed activities, is there any other learning activity you wish to be considered
in our course? (A speaking practice, a writing workshop, a grammar class, among others)

It would be very interesting to be implemented one day a week to make conversation in

English about a specific topic.
