I placed the teacher desk in between the bathroom and the front door to monitor when students

enter or exit. The reading center and the group rug are next to each other because if we are

using the group rug, then we will not be using the reading center. I placed the group table, art

station, dramatic play, and discovery table towards the center of the room since this will be the

main focus of my day. I placed the student tables in the back corner because this is where we

will be spending the least amount of time. The cubbies and hooks are placed in the corner of the

room so the students will not be tempted to get into their stuff. The reasoning for my lay out of

the floor plan I got inspiration from the website Teacher Thought. The reasoning for the items I

chose for my classroom I got inspiration from a blog called 23 classroom must haves.
