The 2 reasons why I decided to study at Humber were firstly because
the professors take a real interest in helping the students and
secondly because the programs with work placements are practical
and will help me in my career. I think the best part of the classroom
experience is that from the start of your program you are working
in the mechanical engineering labs learning through a hands-on
approach. Learning how to work with raw materials and precisely
measure dimensions are an asset for my future career in the industry.

The professors, who are great musicians themselves, actually spend
time making sure you understand and they challenge your current
level in music. The classroom experience at Humber helps feed my
desire to be an honest Saxophone player. There is always so much

professors and program coordinator who were always ready to help.
I learned a lot about the fashion industry from my professors’
first-hand experience. They make the classes fun, light and interactive.

 HEALTH SCIENCES
What I enjoyed most about studying biotechnology at Humber
was being given the opportunity to spend eight hours per week
in a lab environment, working with my colleagues and professors
in different experiments. I just got a job as a Biotech Document
Reviewer, and I will be responsible for reviewing and approving
the results of chemical and biological analyses.

program. I started with level 7 after taking a placement test, and I am
now in level 8. Taking EAP has helped me to prepare not just for my
program, but also for my career. I hope to apply for a management

Diploma – Police Foundations
Instead of being in a classroom and working on a research paper
or studying textbooks, I wanted first-hand experience of what it is
like to learn in the real world. I was one of the 12 Humber students
selected from the second-year Police Foundations program to study
abroad in China. When I came back from China, I was able to share
my story and teach my friends and family about the culture, break
down stigmas and start important discussions.

As a current student and alumnus, you will have access to Humber’s
Career Services. Our career and student advisors offer job search
assistance, review your resume and cover letter, assist with interview
preparation and employer connections, and help develop career

CAREER EVENTS
Career Services host events give students the opportunity to learn
about specific careers and connect with employers. These events,
which happen throughout the year, include career fairs, campus
recruitment, information sessions, networking opportunities,

IGNITE is a student-run organization designed to make life

voices to be heard.
IGNITE hosts a number of different events, clubs and services on
campus. These clubs are a place for you to share your passion,
learn something new, meet new people and gain valuable
leadership experience. You can start your own club or join clubs
that include The Dance Company, Pie Society and The Raptors
Club. The Multi-faith Centre is a great starting point to meet
others of your faith and culture.

The International Centre hosts a variety of social events and trips.
Past trips have included camping at Killarney Provincial Park,
sightseeing excursions to Niagara Falls and Montreal, enjoying
the stunning panoramic views of Toronto from the CN tower
and riding roller coasters at Canada’s Wonderland. These are
great ways to discover the uniqueness of Toronto while creating
