I. Learning Outcomes
At the end of the lesson the student are expected to:
1. Enumerate the importance of intonation
2. Use the correct intonation of a phrase sentence
II. Subject Matter: Language focus: Intonation rules
1. Topic: Intonation: Juncture, stress and pitch
2. Concepts:
Intonation- the rise and fall in the sound of your voice when you speak.
Juncture- an important point in a process or activity.
Stress- a state of mental tension and worry caused by problems in your life,
work, etc.
Pitch- the quality of sound governed by the role of vibrations producing it, the
degree of highness or lowness of a tone

Class, we’re going to have an activity but

We’re going to have an intonation practice
we’re you can be aware what emotion coming
across to your speech.
Just remember it may feel awkward or
uncomfortable when we’re practicing and it’ll
definitely sound interacting with native
speakers. After all that’s why we practice!
We’re trying to get more comfortable
expressing these emotions through your voice
on a regular basis. Did you get it? Yes ma’am!
Let’s get started! In this intonation exercises
we’re going to look at extremely common
words that you will use any time when
speaking English.
