9g Pre-Arranged Employment Visa

What is a 9g Visa?
Any foreign national who will be employed in the Philippines and occupying a technical, executive,
managerial or highly confidential position in a company for at least one year, can apply for a pre-arranged
employment visa, or commonly referred to as the 9G visa, under Sec. 9(g) of the Philippine Immigration
Act.

9G visas are valid only for the duration of the AEP or the current employment contract (whichever is
shorter), and similar visas issued to dependents are co-terminus with the duration of the visa of the
principal. Foreign nationals with companies registered to BOI, PEZA, and the top 1,000 corporations are
given priority.

Documentary Requirements:
1. Joint letter of request addressed to the Commissioner from the applicant and petitioning
company,
2. Duly Accomplished Consolidated General Application Form (CGAF).
3. Photocopy of passport bio-page and latest admission with valid authorized stay
4. Photocopy of Employment Contract, Secretary’s Certificate of Election, Appointment or
Assignment of applicant or equivalent document, with details of exact compensation, duration
of employment and comprehensive description of the nature and scope of the applicant’s position
in the company
5. Photocopy of Petitioner’s latest ITR with corresponding proof of payment
6. For Corporations:
I. SEC Certificate of Registration
II. Articles of Incorporation
III. General Information Sheet for the current year stamped received by SEC
7. Photocopy of Alien Employment Permit issued by DOLE
8. Notarized Certification of number of foreign and Filipino employees from the petitioning
company (Form available in the BI website)
9. Special Temporary Permit for an applicant practicing a regulated profession under PRC, if
applicable

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
(To avoid summary dismissal or delay in the procession of the application)

1. All the spaces provided for in the CGAF must be filled up. If the information required is not
applicable, write “N/A”. All answers must be in English and all entries must be in CAPITAL
LETTERS.
2. The CGAF must be accomplished in two (2) ORIGINAL copies. The first copy shall be submitted
together with the documents pertaining to the application while the second copy is intended for
the Application of Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR I-Card) to be submitted in
a separate folder.
3. All documents must be arranged in the order as listed in the Checklist of Documentary
Requirements in a legal size folder and shall be submitted within the prescribed period, if
applicable.
4. All sworn statement of affidavits must be original and duly notarized.
5. All civil registry documents issued in the Philippines must be original and issued by the Philippine
Statistics Authority.
6. All foreign documents must be original and authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post,
which has jurisdiction over the place of issuance, or by the DFA if said documents is issued by
the local embassy in the Philippines, with English translation.
7. If the application is filed by an authorized representative, attach a copy of the Bureau of
Immigration Accreditation Identification Certificate or an original SPA for EACH applicant with a
photocopy of a valid government issued ID of the attorney-in-fact.
8. The original and valid passport of the applicant must be submitted to the Central Receiving Unit
personnel or concerned frontline officer for scanning. Thereafter, it shall be returned.
9. If the applicant is joined by his/her unmarried children below 12, submit all corresponding
documentary requirements for EACH dependent.
10. The applicant and/or petitioner must always bring his/her original passport and/or valid ID (if
Filipino) upon evaluation or interview by Visa Officers.
