OBJECTIVE : Heat Treatment for 20 ton Single Bogie Hearth Furnace

DESCRIPTION : An OEM, who is the accredited brand name in India since 1971 as design and manu-
facturer of Heat Treatment Furnaces for strategic core sectors, special chemical plants
and thermal equipments for nuclear and atomic sectors, dedicated equipments and
special thermal plants for composite materials, satellite components testing vacuum
chambers, specialized equipments for aerospace industries, etc.

A brand in local as well as international market in Electrical field wants a Hardening

Furnace with reliable burner and system that meets the local needs.

Eclipse suggested the OEM to install a thermal system having TJ075 burners with Auto
system along with mass flow control system. The Thermjet burners represent a tech-
nological leap forward in design and performance area it has high operating velocity
with lowest emission. Its velocity produces an intense stream of hot gases to thor-
oughly penetrate the load and deliver precise temp. Uniformity for consistent product
quality and system efficiency. Pulse firing, excess air control methodology can be used
with convenience of multi-fuel capability with nozzle changing. With TJ you can light
anywhere in the firing cycle with no pilot required. TJ also featuring integral orifices
that eliminates system components costs less than most competitive high velocity
units, and really cost effectiveness when considering maintenance cost.

RESULT : The project by Eclipse for Hardening Furnace has been a tremendous success. With TJ
burner they are able to increase product capacity. Thermjet has been applied wherever
clean, exhaust free heat is required. The customer is fully satisfied with the system op-
eration and observed that the maintenance is almost nil. The observed pollution is nil &
overall efficiency increases. The performance of the TJ burner is very good, trouble free
and give excellent temperature uniformity from 800 0C to 1150 0C (+ 10 0C) rising 2000C
per hour. The burner operates from Gas flow rate of 0 m3/hr and Air flow 240 m3/hr at
Low fire. Simultaneously from Gas flow rate of 45 m3/hr and Air flow 2300 m3/hr at high
fire was observed for total mass flow control system.
