V. Stages
A. Explore
1. Music Analysis
- Learners will analyse the given upbeat music.
- Learners may present a simple dance step that is suitable to the
given music.
- “In what way does dancing enrich or enhance an active
lifestyle”?
B. Firm Up
1. Video Analysis
- Let the learners share their insights about the video.
2. Discussion
- Teachers provide the ideas;
a. Nature and background
b. Tips in hip-hop dancing
c. Precautionary measures
d. Benefits of dancing
3. Knowledge booth
- Learners will be answering the activity sheet showing their
understanding about hip-hop dancing.
4. Research Assignment
- Learners are tasked to research about the different famous
street dance in the Philippines in preparation for the next topic.
C. Deepen
1. Concrete Finale
- Learners will be group into 3 and answer the activity sheet.
- Let them make a documentation of their work for class sharing
after presentation.
2. “Time to reflect” and “come to think of it”
- Learners will read the given idea and answer the activity come
to think of it.
D. Transfer

- Your barangay will be conducting a dance parade featuring


street dancing with a theme “Street dancing for Community
Development”. This program will surely showcase the given
skills of the students not only in dancing but at the same tine
their dance interpretation. They are requested to join the
parade which they will exhibit their imaginative minds through
their dance interpretation. They are requested to join the
parade which they will choreograph. The standard of success
will be based on the following criteria:
a. Sequence of steps
b. Beat
c. Style and
d. Work ethic
