● Travelled to Heifer International in Arkansas, EARTH University in Costa Rica, Bri Bri Tribe in Costa Rica,
To’Hajilee Native American Reservation in New Mexico, and will travel to Chaing Mai in Thailand

The Comet Yearbook- Editor in Chief; Austin, TX 2016 - 2020
● As the Editor in Chief I was ultimately responsible for overall development and content of the yearbook. I delegated
staff assignments, set and enforced a production schedule, edited every page and proof, led staff meetings, trained
and coached staff, decided theme, design and cover with adviser and other editors, planned ladder with adviser
and section editors, and report to adviser
● Additional Roles/ Responsibilities:
2016-2020 Staff Member- Worked on designated spreads by placing photos on spreads, as well as
qqqqqq interviewing and creating captions, and taking photos at school events
2018-2019 Design Editor- Created unique designs for a variety of spreads, and designed modules
2018-2019 Head Photographer- Took photos for at least two events per week
Peer Assisted Leadership- Member; Austin, TX 2019 - 2020

● Mentor elementary and middle school students twice a week to foster communication and sense of belonging for
urban youth

● Donated school supplies to the To’Hajilee Native American Reservation in New Mexico

● Made a lesson plan and taught a lesson to fifth graders at Zilker Elementary School about how urbanization affects
global warming, and how they can reduce their carbon footprint
● Made an advocacy documentary about our project to spread awareness about global warming and provide
examples of how people can reduce their own carbon footprint

● Taught two classes of seventh graders at O’Henry Middle School, about Mexican culture and the different
perspectives on the immigration issues that are currently happening

● Helped pick up litter, plant trees, and paint signs for the Bri Bri tribe

WORK EXPERIENCE

Camp Counselor at the Texas Rowing Center- Camp Leader; Austin, TX 2018 -
2019
● Led the campers in camp activities, as well as making sure they are safe
● Taught campers how to row, kayak, and paddle board
● Make sure all the campers are having fun and involved
● Take the campers to local pools such as Deep Eddy, and Barton Springs
● Received CPR, first aid, AED, and basic water safety training
Child Care- Austin,TX 2017 - 2019
● Watch over children, put them to bed, and make sure they are safe
● Looked after a bilingual family’s kids, that speak English and Spanish

● Visited three different interior design and architecture firms, and shadowed them to learn more about what it's like to
be an interior designer or an architect, organized by AIA Austin

● As the head camp counselor for the Texas Rowing Center, I managed the other camp counselors, led activities with
the campers, taught campers how to paddle and row, and made sure we stayed on schedule.
